Block of Tempered Iron
Block of Tempered Iron is the Ala Industrial storage block that compresses nine Tempered Iron ingots into one slot and uncrafts back with zero loss.
Description
Tempered Iron itself comes from smelting or blasting a regular iron ingot, so the whole Block of Tempered Iron chain stays renewable through iron golem farms. Block of Tempered Iron produces no energy and feeds no machines — Ala Industrial added the cube purely as a chest space-saver and as a decorative metal block with the familiar bright-iron texture. Practical routine: smelt iron into Tempered Iron ingots, press every nine into a Block of Tempered Iron before long storage sessions, and uncraft cubes on demand at any workbench. Future roles such as beacon-base compatibility or an MV-tier casing are on the Ala Industrial roadmap but not in the game yet.

How to craft and use the Block of Tempered Iron in Minecraft
-
1
Smelt iron into Tempered Iron
Put regular iron ingots into a furnace or blast furnace — each ingot smelts into one Tempered Iron ingot, the raw material of the block.
-
2
Fill a 3×3 grid with nine ingots
Open a workbench and place one Tempered Iron ingot in every cell of the 3×3 grid; the craft yields exactly one Block of Tempered Iron.
-
3
Stack the blocks for storage
One inventory stack holds 64 blocks — the equivalent of 576 Tempered Iron ingots — and frees nine stacks of chest space.
-
4
Uncraft whenever ingots are needed
Place a Block of Tempered Iron anywhere on the workbench grid; the shapeless recipe returns all nine ingots with nothing lost.
-
5
Mine with any pickaxe
A placed Block of Tempered Iron drops itself when broken by any pickaxe, so the metal survives relocation and redecoration.
Block of Tempered Iron is decorative storage only — the cube feeds no Ala Industrial machine and works identically on Fabric and NeoForge in Minecraft 26.2 (Java Edition).

Frequently asked questions
How do you craft the Block of Tempered Iron in Ala Industrial?
Place nine Tempered Iron ingots in a full 3×3 workbench grid; the shaped recipe yields one Block of Tempered Iron.
Can you turn the Block of Tempered Iron back into ingots?
Yes. The shapeless workbench recipe returns all nine Tempered Iron ingots from one block, making the cycle strictly lossless.
Is the Block of Tempered Iron renewable?
Yes. Tempered Iron comes from smelting regular iron ingots, and vanilla iron is farmable through iron golem farms, so the whole chain never runs out.
Which tool breaks the Block of Tempered Iron?
Any pickaxe works — the block has no tier requirement — and mining always drops the block itself.
Does the Block of Tempered Iron power machines or store energy?
No. The cube is a storage and decoration block with hardness 5.0 and blast resistance 6.0; the metal inside feeds no Ala Industrial machine.
Is the Block of Tempered Iron available on Bedrock?
No. Ala Industrial is a Java Edition mod for Minecraft 26.2 and runs on the Fabric and NeoForge loaders.
