Tempered Iron Axe
Tempered Iron Axe deals 9.5 attack damage and chops wood at speed 7.0 — the hardened Ala Industrial axe between iron and diamond.
Description
In play, the Tempered Iron Axe behaves exactly like a vanilla axe: it strips bark from logs, lights wood on a right-click, and breaks wooden blocks faster than other tools. Its mining level stays iron, so diamond ore, obsidian, and ancient debris drop nothing under it. As a weapon the Tempered Iron Axe hits harder per swing (9.5) than the Tempered Iron Sword (6.5) but swings at 0.9 instead of 1.6, so the sword keeps the higher damage over time. Craft it on a workbench from three tempered iron ingots and two sticks — tempered iron is smelted 1:1 from iron ingots — enchant it with Efficiency, Unbreaking, Fortune, Silk Touch, or Mending, and repair it at an anvil with a single ingot. For Minecraft 26.2 on Fabric or NeoForge.

How to craft and use the Tempered Iron Axe in Minecraft
-
1
Smelt iron into tempered iron
Smelt vanilla iron ingots in a furnace, blast furnace, or the mod's electric furnace — each ingot converts 1:1 into tempered iron, the hardened material of the whole tool line.
-
2
Craft the axe at a workbench
Place three tempered iron ingots in the vanilla axe pattern — two across the top, one at the side of the middle row — with two sticks filling the handle column to make one Tempered Iron Axe.
-
3
Chop wood like a vanilla axe
The Tempered Iron Axe strips bark from logs, lights wood on a right-click, and breaks wooden blocks at mining speed 7.0 — slightly faster than an iron axe, with 350 durability.
-
4
Enchant and repair it
At an enchanting table the Tempered Iron Axe accepts Efficiency, Unbreaking, Fortune, Silk Touch, and Mending (enchantability 16). A worn axe is repaired at an anvil with one tempered iron ingot.
The Tempered Iron Axe stays at the iron mining level, so diamond ore, obsidian, and ancient debris drop nothing — wood is its job. It needs no EU; it only wears down through ordinary durability use.

Frequently asked questions
How much damage does the Tempered Iron Axe do?
It deals 9.5 attack damage — 0.5 more than a vanilla iron axe — at the same attack speed of 0.9.
How do you craft the Tempered Iron Axe?
Place three tempered iron ingots and two sticks in the vanilla axe pattern on a crafting table. Each ingot comes from smelting one iron ingot, and the recipe yields one axe.
Can the Tempered Iron Axe mine diamonds?
No. Its mining level is iron, so diamond ore, obsidian, and ancient debris drop nothing — exactly like an iron axe.
Is the Tempered Iron Axe a good weapon?
Per swing it hits for 9.5 — more than the Tempered Iron Sword's 6.5 — but it swings at 0.9 speed versus the sword's 1.6, so the sword deals more damage over time.
Does the Tempered Iron Axe need EU or energy?
No. Like the whole tempered iron line it is a plain hand tool with no energy cost — only ordinary durability wear.
How do you repair the Tempered Iron Axe?
Combine the worn axe with a single tempered iron ingot at an anvil. With 350 base durability and the Mending enchantment available, upkeep stays cheap.
