Sulfur Ore
Sulfur Ore is Ala Industrial's Overworld ore that drops raw sulfur for rubber vulcanization — mine it with a stone pickaxe between Y −32 and 32.
Description
Breaking Sulfur Ore requires a stone pickaxe or better — a wooden or golden pickaxe destroys the block with no drop. Each block normally drops one Raw Sulfur; the Fortune enchantment multiplies that drop, while Silk Touch returns the ore block itself. The Macerator then turns either the ore block or the Raw Sulfur into two Sulfur Dust for 300 EU, whereas a regular furnace smelts only Raw Sulfur, giving a single dust in 200 ticks with 0.7 XP. Four Sulfur Dust plus one raw rubber form one Vulcanizer batch, and the heat source decides whether it yields one, two, or three rubber. Sulfur has no ingot form, so Sulfur Ore remains the only primary source of the early cable chain's most expensive input.

How to get sulfur from Sulfur Ore in Ala Industrial
-
1
Mine between Y −32 and 32
Sulfur Ore veins generate throughout the Overworld and peak near the middle of the height range; below Y 0 the same veins appear as Deepslate Sulfur Ore.
-
2
Use a stone pickaxe or better
A wooden or golden pickaxe breaks Sulfur Ore without a drop and mines roughly 3.3 times slower, so upgrade before digging.
-
3
Collect the raw sulfur drop
Each block drops one Raw Sulfur. Fortune multiplies the drop, while Silk Touch yields the Sulfur Ore block itself for direct Macerator processing.
-
4
Macerate for double output
The Macerator converts one ore block or one Raw Sulfur into two Sulfur Dust for 300 EU — twice the yield of the furnace route.
-
5
Feed the Vulcanizer
Combine four Sulfur Dust with one raw rubber in the Vulcanizer; lava, magma, or an Electric Heater raises the batch to two or three rubber.
A regular furnace smelts one Raw Sulfur into one Sulfur Dust in 200 ticks with 0.7 XP — a machine-free early route, but the ore block itself cannot be smelted and the output never doubles.

Frequently asked questions
What pickaxe do you need for Sulfur Ore?
A stone pickaxe or better. A wooden or golden pickaxe destroys Sulfur Ore without dropping raw sulfur and mines the block about 3.3 times slower.
Where does Sulfur Ore spawn?
In the Overworld between Y −32 and 32, in veins up to six blocks with seven generation attempts per chunk. Below Y 0 the same vein generates as Deepslate Sulfur Ore.
What does Sulfur Ore drop?
One Raw Sulfur per block. The Fortune enchantment multiplies the drop, and Silk Touch yields the Sulfur Ore block itself.
Can you smelt Sulfur Ore in a furnace?
No. Only Raw Sulfur smelts, giving one Sulfur Dust in 200 ticks with 0.7 XP. The ore block is processed in the Macerator, which doubles it into two dust for 300 EU.
What is sulfur used for in Ala Industrial?
Four Sulfur Dust are consumed with one raw rubber per Vulcanizer operation to produce rubber for insulated cables. Sulfur has no ingot form — dust is its final technological form.
Is Sulfur Ore renewable?
No. Sulfur Ore generates only during world generation and no crafting recipe produces it, so each world holds a finite supply.
