Description

Soul Vessel is a soul reservoir item from the Ala Industrial mod for Minecraft 26.2: a glass flask in a silver frame with soul sand at the bottom. While the Soul Vessel sits in your inventory, every hostile mob killed by you personally — your hand, your sword, your arrow — yields its soul into it. Pet kills, trap kills and other players' kills do not count, and only actively hostile targets give a soul: monsters, angered endermen and zombified piglins. The soul counter is visible in the item tooltip.

A full Soul Vessel is inserted into a Mob Repeller and consumed whole, raising the block one tier: Small to Medium takes 80 souls, Medium to Large takes 250 — and 250 is also the vessel's hard cap, with any surplus above the threshold burning along with the vessel. The Soul Vessel is crafted at a crafting table from four Silver Plates in the corners, three glass, soul sand in the centre and an Electronic Circuit at the bottom, and it works the same on Fabric and NeoForge.

How to use a Soul Vessel in Minecraft

  1. 1

    Craft the vessel

Place four Silver Plates in the corners of a crafting table, three glass in the top-centre and middle-side slots, soul sand in the centre and an Electronic Circuit at the bottom to make one Soul Vessel.

  2. 2

    Carry it into the fight

Keep the Soul Vessel in your inventory: every hostile mob you kill personally — by hand, sword or bow — adds one soul to the vessel.

  3. 3

    Watch the tooltip counter

Hover the Soul Vessel to see how many souls it holds, and stop at the threshold you need: 80 souls evolve a Small Mob Repeller into Medium, 250 evolve Medium into Large.

  4. 4

    Insert it into the repeller

Place the full Soul Vessel into the Mob Repeller: the vessel is consumed whole and the block rises one tier.

Important

Surplus souls above the threshold burn with the vessel. The Soul Vessel caps at 250 souls, so charge it for the exact tier jump you need.

Frequently asked questions

How many souls does a Soul Vessel need?

A Soul Vessel needs 80 souls to evolve a Small Mob Repeller into Medium and 250 souls for Medium into Large; 250 is also the vessel's hard cap.

Why is my Soul Vessel not filling up?

Only hostile mobs killed by you personally count. Kills by tamed pets, traps, lava or other players register nothing, and passive or calm neutral mobs never yield a soul.

Can you craft a Soul Vessel?

Yes. On a crafting table place four Silver Plates in the corners, three glass, soul sand in the centre and an Electronic Circuit at the bottom.

Do Soul Vessels stack?

Empty vessels stack up to 64, but vessels holding different numbers of souls never merge — each keeps its own soul count.

What happens to extra souls above the threshold?

The Soul Vessel is consumed whole on evolution, and every soul above the tier threshold burns with it, so charge the vessel for the exact jump you need.
