Rich Slag
Rich Slag is the highest of the three slag grades the Recycler casts from mixed junk in Ala Industrial — one piece replaces four Poor Slag in a briquette firing.
Description
Rich Slag has a single consumer: the Alloy Smelter. Firing two Double Carbon Rods together with one Rich Slag costs 1200 EU and 150 ticks (7.5 seconds) and yields one Carbon Briquette — the same briquette that would otherwise take two ordinary Slag or four Poor Slag, so a well-sorted batch cuts the slag bill to a quarter. The Carbon Briquette then splits into four Ceramic Plates at a quench press built from vanilla blocks, and four plates make one Carbon Ceramic block, which makes Rich Slag the efficient end of the mod's coal chain. Rich Slag stacks to 64 and carries no fuel value: briquette firing is everything Rich Slag does today.

Guide
How to get and use Rich Slag in Ala Industrial
-
1
Build and power the Recycler
Craft the Recycler from a machine casing, an electronic circuit, two iron blades and four iron ingots, then connect an LV line (up to 32 EU/t) to one of the five working faces — the front face takes no cables.
-
2
Load the grinding blades
Put a set of grinding blades into the blade slot: without blades the Recycler will not run, and every ground item wears the blades by one point.
-
3
Feed a mixed batch
Drop in mineral waste, scrap metal and burnables in roughly equal parts — for example stone, a worn pickaxe and a couple of planks — and watch the Will cast line until it names Rich Slag.
-
4
Collect the Rich Slag
Wait for the batch gauge to reach 64 mass units and take the Rich Slag from the briquette slot; the Recycler has no auto-output.
-
5
Fire the Carbon Briquette
Load the Alloy Smelter with two Double Carbon Rods and one Rich Slag: after 1200 EU and 150 ticks the smelter hands out one Carbon Briquette.
Junk the Recycler cannot classify counts toward the 64 mass units but never toward variety, so a stack of unrecognised trash will not fake a Rich Slag batch. The Recycler also destroys everything it is given, valuables included — there is no filter, so check what the pipes deliver.

Frequently asked questions
How is Rich Slag obtained?
Rich Slag is cast by the Recycler, an LV machine of the Ala Industrial mod, when a full batch mixes all three waste fractions — mineral, metal and burnable — with none above half. Rich Slag cannot be crafted at a workbench.
What is Rich Slag used for?
Rich Slag fires Carbon Briquettes in the Alloy Smelter: two Double Carbon Rods plus one Rich Slag, at 1200 EU, give one briquette. The same briquette costs two ordinary Slag or four Poor Slag.
What separates Rich Slag from Slag and Poor Slag?
All three grades come out of the same Recycler batch and all three fire the same briquette — the grade only decides how much slag one firing takes: 4 Poor, 2 ordinary or 1 Rich. One fraction at 80 percent or more casts Poor Slag, two fractions cast Slag, and all three with none over half cast Rich Slag.
Does Rich Slag burn as fuel?
No. Rich Slag carries no fuel value in the Generator or in a vanilla furnace; the whole worth of Rich Slag sits in the briquette firing.
Can Rich Slag be crafted or found in the world?
No. Rich Slag exists only as Recycler output in Minecraft 26.2 with Ala Industrial installed on Fabric or NeoForge; no ore, chest or mob drops Rich Slag.
