Silver Plating
Silver Plating is a decorative Ala Industrial block crafted from 4 silver plates in a 2x2 grid — and uncrafted back into the same 4 plates with no loss.
Description
Silver Plating gives silver plates a building purpose: cladding workshop walls, machine halls, and floors in a clean industrial style. The cycle is fully reversible — 1 Silver Plating placed anywhere on the crafting grid (shapeless recipe) returns all 4 silver plates with no loss, so decorating never wastes metal. Each silver plate starts as a silver ingot, smelted from silver ore, deepslate silver ore, or raw silver, then flattened with a forge hammer or pressed in a compressor for 260 EU. Pair Silver Plating with Tempered Iron Plating for a two-tone metal facade, or with Machine Casing when the build calls for a working-machine accent. Silver Plating carries no energy or machine logic — the block is purely decorative — and silver is non-renewable, so count the plate budget before committing a facade.

Guide
How to craft and use Silver Plating in Ala Industrial
-
1
Smelt silver ingots
Mine silver ore or deepslate silver ore (raw silver works too) and smelt or blast it into silver ingots.
-
2
Press silver plates
Combine 1 silver ingot with a forge hammer on the crafting grid — the hammer stays, losing 1 durability — or press the ingot in a compressor for 260 EU.
-
3
Craft the plating block
Place 4 silver plates in a 2x2 shaped pattern on a crafting table to make 1 Silver Plating.
-
4
Clad your build
Use Silver Plating as wall or floor cladding for a bright industrial look; the block is purely decorative.
-
5
Uncraft when needed
Put 1 Silver Plating anywhere on the crafting grid (shapeless recipe) to recover all 4 silver plates with no loss.
Silver Plating exists only in Ala Industrial for Minecraft 26.2 Java Edition; Fabric and NeoForge builds behave identically, and there is no Bedrock version.

Frequently asked questions
How do you craft Silver Plating in Ala Industrial?
Place 4 silver plates in a 2x2 shaped pattern on a crafting table; the recipe yields 1 Silver Plating block.
Can Silver Plating be uncrafted?
Yes. A shapeless recipe turns 1 Silver Plating back into 4 silver plates with no loss, so decoration never wastes metal.
What tool breaks Silver Plating?
Any pickaxe breaks Silver Plating and makes the block drop itself; mining without a pickaxe destroys the block with no drop.
How do you get silver plates?
Combine a silver ingot with a forge hammer on the crafting grid, or press a silver ingot in a compressor for 260 EU. Silver ingots come from smelting silver ore, deepslate silver ore, or raw silver.
Does Silver Plating have any machine function?
No. Silver Plating is purely decorative: the block stores no energy and runs no processes. Machine frames in Ala Industrial use Machine Casing instead.
Is Silver Plating renewable?
No. Silver comes from finite, world-generated silver ore, so every Silver Plating facade permanently spends the silver invested in it.
