Description

Shielding Boots are the footwear of the four-piece anti-radiation suit in the Ala Industrial mod for Minecraft 26.2 Java Edition. A pair is crafted at an ordinary crafting table from 2 leather, 2 rubber and 1 yellow dye — a deliberately early recipe, so the protection arrives before the reactor that emits the radiation. Shielding Boots are not combat armour: protection sits at 1 point, the leather line, toughness is 0 and enchantability is 10. Durability is another matter: 195 points, the same as iron boots, and exactly that reserve is spent absorbing radiation.
Each worn piece of the suit cuts 25% of the radiation dose, so Shielding Boots alone remove a quarter. The full four-piece set blocks the uranium carried in your own pockets outright and cuts any external field by up to 95%, with 5% of the dose always getting through. Durability drains on any uranium contact: 1 point per second at a live reactor core, 1 point every 2 seconds with enriched uranium in the inventory and 1 point every 8 seconds with ore — roughly three minutes of work at an open core for one pair of Shielding Boots. Broken Shielding Boots stop shielding; rubber at an anvil restores the pair. Shielding Boots also insulate current: each worn piece cuts 25% of a bare cable's electric shock, and the full suit blocks the shock completely. A dispenser equips the boots on a villager or a cow, and a full set on a mob blocks radiation entirely without ever wearing out. Ala Industrial runs on Fabric and NeoForge, Java Edition only.

How to use Shielding Boots in Minecraft

  1. 1

    Gather the materials

Collect 2 leather from cows, 1 yellow dye from a dandelion and 2 rubber from the Vulcanizer or a kok-sagyz field.

  2. 2

    Craft the boots

Place the leather in the top corners of a crafting table, the yellow dye in the centre and the rubber on either side of the dye.

  3. 3

    Equip and complete the set

Put Shielding Boots in the boots slot and add the helmet, chestplate and leggings: four worn pieces cut carried uranium to zero dose and any external field by up to 95%.

  4. 4

    Watch durability and repair

Near uranium the durability bar melts — one point per second at a live core — so repair worn Shielding Boots with rubber at an anvil.

Not combat armour

Shielding Boots give only 1 armour point at the leather line, but each worn piece of the suit also cuts 25% of a bare cable's electric shock — the full set blocks the shock completely.

Frequently asked questions

Do Shielding Boots protect in combat?

Barely: protection is 1 armour point at the leather line, the same as leather boots. The value of Shielding Boots is radiation shielding, not defence.

How much radiation do Shielding Boots block alone?

One worn piece cuts 25% of the dose. The full suit — helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots — blocks uranium in the pockets outright and caps any external field at 95%.

How long do Shielding Boots last inside a reactor room?

Durability is 195 points. At a live core one point drains per second, about three minutes of work; carrying enriched uranium drains one point every 2 seconds, and ore one every 8 seconds.

Are Shielding Boots available on Bedrock?

No. Ala Industrial is a Java Edition mod for Minecraft 26.2 and runs on both Fabric and NeoForge.

Can mobs wear Shielding Boots?

Yes — a dispenser equips the boots on a villager or a cow nearby. A full set on a mob blocks radiation completely and never wears out.
