Raw Uranium
Raw Uranium is the pickaxe drop from Ala Industrial uranium ore — the rare feedstock for uranium dust, ingots, and the mutation chain.
Description
Each raw piece rewards careful processing, because the Macerator grinds it into two uranium dust (300 EU) while a furnace yields only one ingot. Smelt that dust back into ingots and they become the irradiation charge the Incubator burns to mutate crops — one ingot covers three attempts and leaves depleted uranium behind. Uranium ingots also enter the Teleporter recipe, stamp into uranium plates, and sell to the industrialist villager for emeralds, so Raw Uranium is a strategic resource worth stockpiling long before the full nuclear branch arrives.

How to process Raw Uranium in Ala Industrial
-
1
Mine uranium ore deep underground
Dig near the bottom of the Overworld (around Y -64 to 16), where uranium ore appears in tiny veins about seven times rarer than diamond, and break it with an iron pickaxe or better.
-
2
Pick the doubling route
A furnace or blast furnace smelts one raw piece into a single uranium ingot, while the Macerator grinds the same piece into two uranium dust for double the yield.
-
3
Smelt the dust into ingots
Cook each uranium dust in a furnace or electric furnace to convert it back into a usable uranium ingot at a one-to-one ratio.
-
4
Spend ingots on high-value recipes
Feed uranium ingots to the Incubator for three mutation attempts each, craft them into the Teleporter, or stamp them into uranium plates.
Wooden, golden, and stone pickaxes break uranium ore about 3.3x slower and never drop Raw Uranium — always bring at least an iron pickaxe before mining it.

Frequently asked questions
How do you get Raw Uranium in Ala Industrial?
Mine uranium ore with an iron pickaxe or better. The ore spawns in tiny veins deep in the Overworld, roughly seven times rarer than diamond, and weaker pickaxes drop nothing.
What pickaxe do you need for uranium ore?
An iron pickaxe or better. Wooden, golden, and stone pickaxes break the ore but never drop Raw Uranium, and they mine it about 3.3x slower.
Should I smelt or macerate Raw Uranium?
Macerate it. The Macerator turns one raw piece into two uranium dust — double the yield of smelting, which gives only a single ingot.
What are uranium ingots used for?
They power the Incubator (one ingot fuels three mutation attempts), craft into the Teleporter, stamp into uranium plates, and sell to the industrialist villager for emeralds.
Does Silk Touch work on uranium ore?
Yes. Silk Touch yields the ore block itself instead of Raw Uranium, and Fortune multiplies the raw drop just like a normal ore.
Is Raw Uranium renewable?
No. Uranium ore is a finite world resource, so once the veins are mined out Raw Uranium cannot be farmed or regenerated.
