Uranium Dust
Uranium Dust is the ground output of the Macerator — two dust per uranium ore, smelted into uranium ingots or crafted into Enriched Uranium Torches.
Description
Because uranium is roughly seven times rarer than diamond and spawns in tiny veins near the bottom of the world, the Macerator step is close to mandatory: every dust matters when fueling the nuclear line. Uranium Dust is not only an intermediate — one dust combined with coal and a stick crafts four Enriched Uranium Torches directly. Smelted into ingots, it powers the Incubator as an irradiation charge for mutations, goes into the Teleporter recipe, and stamps into uranium plates for advanced machines. The full enrichment, RTG and reactor branch arrives in later phases, so stockpiling dust now prepares the nuclear track.

How to use Uranium Dust in Ala Industrial
-
1
Macerate the uranium ore
Feed a uranium ore block or raw uranium into the Macerator. Each batch costs 300 EU (150 ticks at 2 EU/t) and outputs two Uranium Dust — the doubled yield that beats a one-ingot furnace smelt.
-
2
Smelt the dust into ingots
Place each Uranium Dust in a furnace, blast furnace, or Electric Furnace to smelt it into one uranium ingot at 200 EU in the Electric Furnace. Two dust from one ore become two ingots.
-
3
Craft Enriched Uranium Torches
Use Uranium Dust directly as a crafting ingredient: one dust over coal over a stick yields four Enriched Uranium Torches, a brighter torch in the nuclear style.
-
4
Fuel the Incubator and machines
Smelted uranium ingots power the Incubator as an irradiation charge for mutations, enter the Teleporter recipe, and stamp into uranium plates for advanced machine recipes.
Uranium ore is roughly seven times rarer than diamond and needs an iron pickaxe, so macerate every ore — re-grinding a finished ingot returns only one dust and wastes the doubling.

Frequently asked questions
How do you get Uranium Dust in Ala Industrial?
Macerate a uranium ore block or raw uranium in the Macerator for 300 EU; each batch outputs two Uranium Dust. Re-grinding a uranium ingot gives only one dust.
How many ingots does one uranium ore give?
Two, if you macerate. The Macerator turns one ore into two Uranium Dust, and each dust smelts into one uranium ingot — double the single ingot a plain furnace yields.
Is Uranium Dust used for anything besides ingots?
Yes. One Uranium Dust plus coal and a stick crafts four Enriched Uranium Torches directly, without smelting the dust into an ingot first.
Is uranium renewable?
No. Uranium ore generates in finite tiny veins near the bottom of the world, roughly seven times rarer than diamond, so every ore matters.
Can you re-grind a uranium ingot back into dust?
Yes, but only one dust per ingot, so the ingot-to-dust-to-ingot loop nets zero. The two-dust doubling only applies to ore and raw uranium.
Does Uranium Dust work on Bedrock Edition?
No. Ala Industrial is a Java Edition mod for Minecraft 26.2 on Fabric or NeoForge and is not available on Bedrock.
