Description

The Enriched Uranium Torch is a purely decorative light source from the Ala Industrial mod for Minecraft 26.2 (Java Edition, Fabric and NeoForge). The torch emits light level 14 — exactly as bright as a vanilla torch — but burns with a vivid green flame and releases occasional green sparkles, so it reads as a small radioactive accent rather than a plain fire light. The Enriched Uranium Torch consumes no energy: it is a late-game decoration, not a generator or a machine.

The signature perk: the Enriched Uranium Torch never goes out underwater. Place it on the seafloor or even inside an oil pool and the flame keeps burning ("sealed uranium"), while the fluid renders around the block instead of leaving a hole in the pool. The torch stands on the floor or hangs on a wall from a single item, breaks instantly by hand, has no collision box, and pops off when pushed by a piston. Craft it from uranium dust, coal (or charcoal), and a stick — 4 torches per craft — or upgrade a vanilla torch with one uranium dust.

How to craft and use the Enriched Uranium Torch in Minecraft

  1. 1

    Get uranium dust

Find a uranium ore vein underground (stone or deepslate variant), mine it with an iron pickaxe or better, and process the ore into uranium dust.

  2. 2

    Craft from scratch

Place uranium dust on top, coal or charcoal in the middle, and a stick at the bottom of the crafting grid to get 4 Enriched Uranium Torches at once.

  3. 3

    Or upgrade a vanilla torch

Combine a plain vanilla torch with one uranium dust in a shapeless craft to convert it into a single Enriched Uranium Torch.

  4. 4

Place it like a normal torch

Set the torch on a floor or on a wall; one item covers both standing and wall-mounted forms.

  5. 5

    Use it underwater

Place the torch below the waterline on the seafloor — unlike a vanilla torch, it keeps burning while submerged.

Important

The Enriched Uranium Torch is decoration only: it produces no EU, and pistons break it like a vanilla torch.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Enriched Uranium Torch emit light?

Yes. The torch emits light level 14 — the same brightness as a vanilla torch — but with a green flame and occasional green sparkles.

Can the Enriched Uranium Torch burn underwater?

Yes. The torch can be placed submerged and keeps burning underwater — thanks to its sealed-uranium design it does not go out in oil pools either.

How do you craft the Enriched Uranium Torch?

Stack uranium dust over coal (or charcoal) over a stick to craft 4 torches, or combine one vanilla torch with uranium dust for 1 torch.

Does the Enriched Uranium Torch generate energy?

No. The torch is a decorative light source that consumes no EU and generates none; it does not power any Ala Industrial machines.

Is the Enriched Uranium Torch available on Bedrock Edition?

No. Ala Industrial is a Java Edition mod for Minecraft 26.2 running on Fabric or NeoForge; the torch does not exist in Bedrock.

What breaks the Enriched Uranium Torch?

No tool is needed — the torch breaks instantly by hand, has no collision box, and a piston push destroys it as well.
