Nickel Ore is the scarcest metal in Ala Industrial, generating in small deep Y -32…20 veins and refining into the Electronic Circuit, evolution chips, and invar.
Description
One vein supports two yields. Smelting Raw Nickel or the ore block in a furnace produces a single Nickel Ingot, while the machine route doubles the output: the Macerator grinds an ore block or Raw Nickel into two Nickel Dust for 300 EU, and the Electric Furnace smelts each dust for another 200 EU — two ingots per ore. Nickel then feeds the Electronic Circuit (four silver ingots, two nickel ingots, two quartz, and one emerald) that 45 machine, generator, and tool recipes require. Every Solar or Lunar Evolution Chip is built from four Nickel Ingots and, placed in a Solar Panel or Wind Turbine, evolves the generator into its reinforced T2 form. The Alloy Smelter melts nickel into invar or cupronickel for 1200 EU per operation, and the Industrialist villager buys three Nickel Ingots for one emerald, so surplus still converts to profit.

Mine deep with a stone pickaxe
Search the Y -32 to Y 20 band below the surface — Nickel Ore generates in both stone and deepslate. Bring a stone pickaxe or better; wooden and golden pickaxes drop nothing.

Collect the raw drop
Each ore block drops one Raw Nickel. Fortune multiplies the drop, while Silk Touch returns the ore block itself for direct machine processing.

Double the yield with machines
Feed Raw Nickel or the ore block to the Macerator for 300 EU to get two Nickel Dust, then smelt each dust in the Electric Furnace for 200 EU — two ingots per ore instead of one.

Craft the key components
Two Nickel Ingots go into every Electronic Circuit beside four silver ingots, two quartz, and one emerald. Four more ingots build a Solar or Lunar Evolution Chip that upgrades a Solar Panel or Wind Turbine to its T2 form.

Turn surplus into profit
The Industrialist villager buys three Nickel Ingots for one emerald, and the Incubator's duplicate mode can split one ingot into two at a 45 percent chance for 4000 EU per attempt.
Nickel Dust has no vanilla furnace or blasting recipe, so build the Electric Furnace before committing ore to the doubled route. The deepslate variant is harder to break (4.5 versus 3.0 hardness) but yields the same drops.
