Description
The Weeding Trowel is an Industrial Craft 2 farming tool that safely removes weeds from IC2 crop sticks without destroying the planted crop underneath. In the IC2 crop system, weeds spontaneously spawn on cultivated crop sticks and choke neighboring plants, stunting growth or killing valuable hybrids. Breaking a weed by hand also breaks the cropstick and loses the underlying crop, so the Weeding Trowel is the only clean removal method. The player right-clicks a weed plant on a cropstick with the Weeding Trowel equipped, and the weed is removed while the cropstick and host crop remain intact. The Weeding Trowel has a limited durability bar and consumes one durability point per weed pull, eventually breaking like any other IC2 hand tool. The Weeding Trowel is crafted from one stick and two iron ingots in a vertical pattern on the crafting table, matching the shape used by other small IC2 tools such as the Tree Tap. The Weeding Trowel cannot be repaired on a vanilla anvil in standard IC2 Experimental builds, so most farmers keep a spare in the hotbar near their crop matrix. For large IC2 crop breeding setups on Minecraft 1.7.10, the Weeding Trowel is essential to preserve rare cross-breed stats like Growth, Gain, and Resistance.

Collect 1 stick and 2 iron ingots from a furnace or chest.

Right-click any weed plant standing on a cropstick to delete only the weed while the cropstick and crop remain.
