Description
Tin Cable is the Industrial Craft 2 wiring block that tolerates packets of up to 32 EU, the mod's unit of energy. A shapeless recipe turns one Tin and one Cutter into three Tin Cables, which keeps long wiring runs cheap. Every block of Tin Cable drains 0.20 EU from each passing packet — one EU every five blocks.
Tin Cable pairs with Solar Panel arrays: each Solar Panel produces 1 EU per tick and sends the energy as a separate 1 EU packet, so forty panels on one line still create forty small packets instead of a single 40 EU packet. In theory, an unlimited number of Solar Panels can share one Tin Cable line. Tin Cable also serves as a crafting ingredient: BatBox, Lv Transformer, Luminator, and Re Battery recipes each require Tin Cable.
