Terraformer
Terraformer is the IndustrialCraft 2 machine that rewrites entire landscapes with a programmed Terraformer Blueprint, drawing 4–40 EU/t (energy units per tick) and converting terrain over days of work.
Description
Blueprint programs cover six transformations — Chilling, Cultivation, Desertification, Irrigation, Mushroom and Flatificator — so a single Terraformer serves everything from frost-lined borders to flat megabuild pads once the matching TFBP is loaded. A used TFBP is never consumed: placing the blueprint alone in a crafting grid wipes the program and returns an empty TFBP for the next job. Terraformer drains every EU the connected network can deliver, and a complete conversion runs for days, so dedicate a real power plant to the machine before starting. Two Terraformers with overlapping ranges keep converting the contested ground until one machine runs out of power, so plan blueprint zones before building a second unit. IndustrialCraft 2 even awards the End-game Paradise achievement for terraforming the End after the Ender Dragon falls — the closest the mod comes to an endgame builder's trophy.

How to use the Terraformer in IndustrialCraft 2
-
1
Craft the Terraformer
Combine one Advanced Machine, four glowstone dust, three dirt and one empty Terraformer Blueprint on the crafting grid; the recipe yields exactly one Terraformer.
-
2
Connect cable power
Run a cable line from a source such as an MFE to the Terraformer: the machine accepts up to 512 EU/t, and the 40 EU internal buffer means the Terraformer only runs while the feed is live.
-
3
Load a programmed blueprint
Craft and program the Terraformer Blueprint for the desired job, then right-click the Terraformer with the TFBP in hand to load the program.
-
4
Run the job and eject the TFBP
Give the Terraformer time — full conversions take days — then right-click the Terraformer with an empty hand to eject the TFBP.
The Terraformer drains every EU the network can deliver, so budget a dedicated power plant for long jobs. Two Terraformers with overlapping ranges fight over the shared ground until one runs out of energy — split blueprint zones before adding a second machine. A wrench picks the Terraformer up safely.

Frequently asked questions
How much energy does the Terraformer use?
Consumption depends on the loaded blueprint program: Desertification and Chilling draw 4 EU/t, Irrigation 8 EU/t, Cultivation 20 EU/t and Flatificator 40 EU/t. The Terraformer accepts up to 512 EU/t and holds a 40 EU internal buffer.
How do you insert or remove a Terraformer Blueprint?
Right-click the Terraformer with the programmed TFBP in hand to load the blueprint; right-click the Terraformer with an empty hand and the TFBP pops out unchanged.
Can a Terraformer Blueprint be reused?
Yes. A used TFBP placed alone in a crafting grid is wiped back to an empty blueprint, ready for the next program.
How long does a full terraforming job take?
The Industrial-Craft wiki warns that completely terraforming a landscape can take multiple days of continuous runtime, so keep the cable feed powered for the whole job.
Can the Terraformer reshape the End?
Yes — IndustrialCraft 2 ships the End-game Paradise achievement specifically for terraforming the End after the Ender Dragon is defeated.
