Description

The Single-Use Battery is the cheapest disposable EU storage item in IndustrialCraft 2 (IC2), holding exactly 1,200 EU before it is consumed. Right-click with the Single-Use Battery in hand to recharge the electric tools in your inventory; once all 1,200 EU are spent, the Single-Use Battery vanishes — there is no rechargeable mode, which separates it from the RE-Battery. Crafted from copper cable, redstone and coal in recipes that yield 5 batteries at a time, or 8 when hydrated coal dust replaces the coal. A stack of 64 Single-Use Batteries carries 76,800 EU in a single inventory slot, so the Single-Use Battery remains the go-to emergency power pack for long mining trips before a generator or BatBox setup is available.

How to use the Single-Use Battery in Minecraft

    Combine copper cable, redstone and coal in the crafting grid to get 5 Single-Use Batteries; the hydrated coal dust version yields 8.

    Hold the Single-Use Battery in your hand and right-click to recharge the electric tools in your inventory.

    Use the 1,200 EU

    The charged tool draws EU per action; once the battery's 1,200 EU are spent, the Single-Use Battery is destroyed.

    Do not try to recharge

    The Single-Use Battery cannot be refilled; switch to a rechargeable RE-Battery once you can charge one in a BatBox.
