Description

Nano Boots are a powered armor piece from IndustrialCraft 2 (IC2 Experimental) that sit between standard iron armor and the high-end QuantumSuit. They store up to 100,000 EU and consume energy each time you take damage, absorbing roughly 9% per damage point at full charge while also strongly reducing fall damage. When the internal battery is empty, Nano Boots provide no protection and behave like cloth, so charging discipline matters. The boots are tier 2, meaning they accept medium-voltage input (128 EU/t, MV) in IC2 Experimental and high-voltage in IC2 classic. Recharge them inside a BatBox, MFE, MFSU, or with a Lapotron Crystal in the off-hand slot; an anvil will not repair them. The crafting recipe uses four Carbon Plates on the top sides and lower middle slots, two Energy Crystals in the bottom corners, and one Advanced Circuit in the center, following the standard boots layout. Nano Boots pair naturally with the rest of the NanoSuit set (helmet, chestplate, leggings) for a balanced energy pool. They are a practical mid-game step for any IC2 base before you commit to crafting QuantumSuit Boots, especially if you mine in deep ravines where fall damage and mob hits add up quickly.

How to use Nano Boots in Minecraft

    Gather the materials

    Prepare four Carbon Plates, two Energy Crystals and one Advanced Circuit before opening the crafting table.

    Craft the boots

    Place Carbon Plates on the top sides and lower side slots, Energy Crystals in the bottom corners, and the Advanced Circuit in the center.

    Charge to full

    Drop the Nano Boots into a BatBox, MFE or MFSU output slot until the bar reaches 100,000 EU.

    Equip and verify

    Wear them in the boots slot and confirm the durability bar shows EU charge instead of a normal damage bar.

    Recharge on the move

    Keep a Lapotron Crystal in your off-hand or hotbar to top up the Nano Boots between fights without an anvil.

Tip

An empty Nano Boots set provides zero protection, so refill it before long mining or combat trips.
