The complete hazmat suit avoids or reduces lava and fire damage, radiation, and fall damage, and fall protection comes specifically from the Rubber Boots rather than the Hazmat Chestplate. Players working around Nuclear Reactors, lava, or open fire get the most out of the four-piece set, because adequate protection is described only for the complete suit. One recipe yields one Hazmat Chestplate, so stock six Rubber and two Red Dye for every spare chestplate.
