Description

Foam Sprayer is a portable IndustrialCraft 2 tool that lets you coat blocks and cables with Construction Foam, which then hardens into Reinforced Stone. The Foam Sprayer is crafted at a crafting table from iron, a compressor, and an empty cell, and stores Construction Foam Pellets (CF Pellets) as ammunition. To load it, combine the sprayer with CF Pellets in a crafting grid. Right-click a target block or an HV cable to spray a soft Construction Foam coating onto it. After about one in-game day the foam dries and hardens into Construction Foam Wall, a Reinforced Stone variant with very high blast resistance. The main purpose of the Foam Sprayer is to insulate HV cables that carry up to 2048 EU/t, because uninsulated HV cables electrocute players and mobs on contact. It is also used to creeper-proof machines, reactors, and tunnels. Hardened foam can be broken with a pickaxe and may be dyed during the spraying step in some IC2 versions, letting you color-code your wiring or decorate bases.

How to use a Foam Sprayer in Minecraft IC2

    Craft the Foam Sprayer

    At a crafting table, combine iron, a compressor, and an empty cell to produce a Foam Sprayer.

    Make CF Pellets

    Craft Construction Foam Pellets (CF Pellets) from Construction Foam in your inventory; you will need a full stack for large projects.

    Load the sprayer

    Combine the Foam Sprayer with CF Pellets in a crafting grid to fill its internal ammo store.

    Spray onto HV cables or machines

    Hold the sprayer and right-click an HV cable or block to apply a soft Construction Foam layer.

    Wait for the foam to harden

    After about one in-game day the foam dries into Construction Foam Wall, a Reinforced Stone variant safe for HV wiring and creeper-proof.

Mine hardened foam with a pickaxe; never touch a bare HV cable carrying 2048 EU/t.
