Description

Electric Wrench is the electric counterpart of the Wrench from Industrial Craft 2 for Minecraft 1.12.2: a tool that rotates and dismantles IC2 machines on stored EU and never wears out. Right-clicking a Generator, Macerator, Compressor, MFE or MFSU rotates the machine's facing, while left-click mining with Electric Wrench in hand removes the machine safely — it drops as itself, never as a plain Machine Block. The old normal and lossless modes with their failure chance were removed in IC2 v2.3.222, so dismantling can no longer fail.

Electric Wrench is crafted shapeless from a Wrench and a Small Power Unit, and its spent EU recharges in the top charging slot of a BatBox, Generator, MFE or MFSU. Holding right-click with a single RE Battery in hand recharges Electric Wrench anywhere, and a worn BatPack keeps feeding it while you work. As long as the buffer holds EU, Electric Wrench rotates and dismantles machines indefinitely — no durability bar to watch.

How to use Electric Wrench in Minecraft

    Craft the Electric Wrench

    Combine a Wrench and a Small Power Unit on a crafting table in any order — the shapeless recipe yields one Electric Wrench.

    Charge the tool

    Place Electric Wrench into the top charging slot of a BatBox, Generator, MFE or MFSU, or hold right-click with a single RE Battery in hand.

    Rotate a machine

    Aim at a Macerator, Compressor or MFE and right-click with Electric Wrench to rotate the machine's facing.

    Dismantle safely

    Left-click an IC2 machine while holding Electric Wrench to mine it safely: the machine drops as itself, not as a Machine Block.

    Power it from your back

    Wear a charged BatPack to feed Electric Wrench and other electric tools while you work, without trips back to a charger.

Note

Switch Electric Wrench to another slot before left-clicking near your energy storage devices: one click dismantles a BatBox or MFSU, and all stored EU is lost.
