Carbon Fibre is an Industrial Craft 2 crafting material made from 4 Coal Dust in a 2×2 grid — the first stage of the chain that ends in Carbon Plates and the Nano Suit armor set.
Description
Two Carbon Fibre combine into Carbon Mesh on the crafting table, and compressing Carbon Mesh in the Compressor produces a Carbon Plate — 8 Coal Dust per Plate in total. Carbon Plates back the entire Nano Suit set (Nano Helmet, Nano Chestplate, Nano Leggings, Nano Boots) and also go into the Nano Saber and the Advanced Machine Block. Plan the stockpile in Coal Dust rather than in finished fibre: every Nano-tier piece spends multiple Plates, and each Plate ties up eight dust worth of fibre.

Crush coal into Coal Dust
Place coal in the Macerator: each piece of coal crushes into 1 Coal Dust at a 1:1 ratio.

Craft the Carbon Fibre
Arrange 4 Coal Dust as a 2×2 square on the crafting table to produce 1 Carbon Fibre.

Weave Carbon Mesh
Combine 2 Carbon Fibre on the crafting table into 1 Carbon Mesh.

Put the Carbon Mesh into a Compressor powered by EU to press it into a Carbon Plate.

Spend Carbon Plates on the Nano Helmet, Nano Chestplate, Nano Leggings, and Nano Boots — or on the Nano Saber and the Advanced Machine Block.
Count Plates before grinding coal: one Carbon Plate takes 8 Coal Dust, and a full Nano Suit runs through many Plates — convert the gear list into a coal stock before you start instead of restocking mid-craft.
