Description

Bronze Shovel is a digging tool from the IndustrialCraft 2 mod, crafted from one Bronze ingot and two Sticks on a crafting table. Bronze Shovel matches an iron shovel's mining tier and breaks the same soil-based blocks, and the official IndustrialCraft wiki records roughly 250 uses before the tool snaps — the same lifespan as an iron shovel. Mining speed sits a notch below iron, so Bronze Shovel clears dirt, sand, gravel, grass, and clay at a slightly slower rate than a vanilla iron shovel would.

Bronze Shovel accepts the standard shovel enchantments, so Unbreaking, Efficiency, Fortune, and Silk Touch all apply through an enchanting table or an anvil. Because IndustrialCraft 2 lets three Copper ore and one Tin ore alloy into four Bronze ingots, Bronze Shovel becomes a practical early-game pick on modpacks where iron is scarce but Copper and Tin are plentiful. Bronze Shovel cannot be smelted as fuel, stacks to a single slot, and serves as a bridge between a stone shovel and a vanilla iron shovel until enough iron is stocked for sturdier gear.

Java Edition Guide

How to craft a Bronze Shovel in IndustrialCraft 2

  1. 1

    Smelt Bronze ingots

Alloy three Copper ingots and one Tin ingot in an IndustrialCraft 2 furnace to produce four Bronze ingots, the core material for Bronze Shovel.

  2. 2

    Gather two Sticks

Place two matching planks in a vertical column on a crafting grid to make four Sticks, then keep two of them for Bronze Shovel.

  3. 3

    Open a crafting table

Right-click a crafting table to open the 3×3 grid, because Bronze Shovel cannot be shaped in the 2×2 inventory grid.

  4. 4

    Arrange the shovel pattern

Place one Bronze ingot in the top-middle slot and one Stick each in the center and bottom-middle slots to form the classic shovel shape.

  5. 5

    Collect the Bronze Shovel

Pick up the finished Bronze Shovel from the result slot; the tool arrives with full durability and ready for digging soil blocks.

Java Edition only

IndustrialCraft 2 runs on Minecraft Java Edition, so Bronze Shovel is unavailable in vanilla Bedrock Edition and cannot be transferred across editions.
