Bio Chaff — Minecraft block

Bio Chaff is an IndustrialCraft 2 (IC2) organic intermediate produced by grinding plant matter in an IC2 Macerator on Minecraft 1.7.10. One Macerator operation yields exactly one Bio Chaff, from 1 plantball, 4 saplings of any type, 8 leaves, wheat, cactus, sugar cane, carrots, potatoes, melon, pumpkin or shrubs, 16 seeds, or 32 weeds. Bio Chaff is never generated naturally in the world: a stable supply needs a running tree farm or crop farm plus a Macerator powered by EU from an IC2 generator.
The main use of Bio Chaff is the bio energy chain: one Bio Chaff enriches 1000 mB of water into 1000 mB of Biomass in a Canning Machine set to fluid enrichment, a Fermenter then turns the Biomass into Biogas, and a Semifluid Generator burns the Biogas into EU. Excess Bio Chaff can also be ground back into Dirt in the Macerator. Older IC2 versions called the end product Biofuel — in current IC2 Experimental the chain ends at Biogas. Because Bio Chaff stacks like any normal item, large bio-energy setups buffer it in IC2 chests before the next stage, turning surplus farm output into renewable power.
