Description

Engraved Plate 0 is a decorative slate block carved with the digit "0" on its front face; the other five faces stay plain polished slate. Ten digit plates (0-9) and seven broken letter plates (W, K, P, B, D, R, M) share the same model and stats, and together they spell out the record plaque on an abandoned lab's wall. Every plaque reads as one broken letter followed by three digit plates, forming a historical ID such as "304"; Plate 0 fills any zero in that number. Plate 0 has no recipe — the only way to obtain Plate 0 in survival is mining a plaque inside an abandoned lab with a pickaxe, aside from the creative inventory. Plate 0's hardness (3.5) and blast resistance (6.0, how well a block survives an explosion) match polished deepslate, and Plate 0 shares that block's breaking sound, so the plaque never gives way before the stone frame around it.
