Deepslate Sulfur Ore
Deepslate Sulfur Ore is the below-Y-0 form of Ala Industrial's sulfur vein — mine it with a stone pickaxe for raw sulfur, doubled by the Macerator.
Description
With a hardness of 4.5 versus 3.0 for the stone variant, Deepslate Sulfur Ore takes noticeably longer to break, and only a stone pickaxe or better harvests it — wooden and golden pickaxes destroy the block without a drop. Each block drops one Raw Sulfur; Fortune multiplies that drop, while Silk Touch returns the ore block itself. The Macerator accepts the ore block directly and produces two Sulfur Dust for 300 EU, whereas a regular furnace smelts only Raw Sulfur, giving a single dust in 200 ticks with 0.7 XP. Four Sulfur Dust plus one raw rubber form one Vulcanizer batch, so every deep vein feeds the rubber chain of the early cable production. Sulfur has no ingot form, which keeps Deepslate Sulfur Ore a primary source rather than a stepping stone.

How to get sulfur from Deepslate Sulfur Ore in Ala Industrial
-
1
Descend below the stone boundary
Sulfur veins span Y −32 to 32; below about Y 0, where the vein replaces deepslate, its blocks turn into Deepslate Sulfur Ore.
-
2
Use a stone pickaxe or better
A stone pickaxe is the minimum: wooden and golden pickaxes break the ore block with no drop.
-
3
Collect the raw sulfur drop
Each Deepslate Sulfur Ore block drops one Raw Sulfur; Fortune multiplies the drop and Silk Touch returns the block itself.
-
4
Macerate for double output
The Macerator turns the ore block or the Raw Sulfur into two Sulfur Dust for 300 EU per run.
-
5
Feed the Vulcanizer
Four Sulfur Dust plus one raw rubber form a batch that yields one, two, or three rubber depending on the heat source.
Deepslate Sulfur Ore generates under exactly the same rules as the stone variant — the only differences are the deepslate host and the hardness of 4.5 instead of 3.0, which makes each block take longer to break.

Frequently asked questions
What pickaxe do you need for Deepslate Sulfur Ore?
A stone pickaxe or better. Wooden and golden pickaxes break Deepslate Sulfur Ore without a drop.
Where does Deepslate Sulfur Ore spawn?
In the Overworld as the deepslate portion of sulfur veins, between Y −32 and 32 wherever the vein replaces deepslate below about Y 0. Veins reach six blocks, with seven placement attempts per chunk.
What does Deepslate Sulfur Ore drop?
One Raw Sulfur per block. Fortune multiplies the drop, and Silk Touch returns the ore block itself.
What is the difference between Deepslate Sulfur Ore and Sulfur Ore?
Same vein, same drops, same processing — only the host rock and hardness differ. The deepslate variant has a hardness of 4.5 instead of 3.0, so it takes longer to mine.
Can you smelt Deepslate Sulfur Ore in a furnace?
No. A regular furnace smelts only Raw Sulfur into one Sulfur Dust in 200 ticks with 0.7 XP. Use the Macerator instead: it accepts the ore block directly and gives two dust for 300 EU.
Is Deepslate Sulfur Ore renewable?
No. Sulfur generates only as finite ore veins in the Overworld, so the resource cannot be farmed or multiplied.
