Description

Deepslate Nickel Ore is the deepslate variant of nickel in the Ala Industrial mod for Minecraft Java Edition 26.2, available on both Fabric and NeoForge, and the scarcest of the mod's three low-voltage (LV) metals. One shared nickel feature makes about 3 vein attempts per chunk in a trapezoid band from Y −32 to Y 20, with veins of up to 5 blocks; where a vein crosses deepslate below Y≈0, Deepslate Nickel Ore generates, and in stone the same vein yields the regular Nickel Ore. A stone pickaxe or better is required for a drop: wooden and golden pickaxes break Deepslate Nickel Ore with no drop at all. Hardness reaches 4.5 — above the 3.0 of the stone Nickel Ore variant — and blast resistance is 3.0. Mining Deepslate Nickel Ore drops 1 Raw Nickel, and the Fortune enchantment multiplies the count.

Processing starts in a vanilla furnace or blast furnace, which smelts Deepslate Nickel Ore or Raw Nickel into 1 Nickel Ingot and grants 0.7 XP. The Macerator doubles the payout: grinding Deepslate Nickel Ore or Raw Nickel costs 300 EU (2 EU/t for 150 ticks) and produces 2 Nickel Dust, while the Electric Furnace turns each dust into 1 Nickel Ingot for 200 EU — 2 ingots per block instead of 1. Nickel Dust has no vanilla furnace or blasting recipe, so the dust smelts only in the Electric Furnace. Nickel Ingots feed the Electronic Circuit recipe (silver, nickel, quartz, emerald) that Ala Industrial's machines and both day and night Alignment Chips require, and the Incubator can duplicate 1 Nickel Ingot into 2 with a 45% success chance at 4000 EU per attempt — nickel is fully renewable.

Guide

How to find and process Deepslate Nickel Ore in Ala Industrial

  1. 1

    Mine the Y −32…20 band

One shared nickel feature attempts about 3 veins per chunk between Y −32 and Y 20, so branch-mining through that height range gives the best odds of meeting Deepslate Nickel Ore.

  2. 2

Watch for deepslate below Y 0

Deepslate Nickel Ore appears where a nickel vein crosses deepslate at roughly Y 0 or below; the same vein in stone produces the regular Nickel Ore instead.

  3. 3

Bring a stone pickaxe or better

A stone pickaxe is the minimum for a drop — wooden and golden pickaxes break Deepslate Nickel Ore without a drop, while iron or diamond mines the hardness-4.5 block faster.

  4. 4

Double the yield in the Macerator

The Macerator grinds Deepslate Nickel Ore or Raw Nickel into 2 Nickel Dust for 300 EU, and the Electric Furnace smelts each dust into 1 Nickel Ingot for 200 EU — 2 ingots per block.

  5. 5

Spend nickel on circuits and duplication

Nickel Ingots build the Electronic Circuit required by Ala Industrial machines and both Alignment Chips, and the Incubator duplicates 1 Nickel Ingot into 2 with a 45% success chance for 4000 EU.

Tip

Nickel Dust has no vanilla furnace or blast furnace recipe — only the Electric Furnace smelts dust into ingots. Re-grinding a finished ingot in the Macerator returns just 1 Nickel Dust, so grind ore or Raw Nickel for the doubled payout.

Frequently asked questions

Where does Deepslate Nickel Ore spawn in Ala Industrial?

Deepslate Nickel Ore generates where a nickel vein crosses deepslate, roughly below Y 0, inside a trapezoid band from Y −32 to Y 20. The shared nickel feature makes about 3 vein attempts per chunk with veins of up to 5 blocks.

Which pickaxe do I need for Deepslate Nickel Ore?

A stone pickaxe or better is enough — an iron pickaxe is not required. Wooden and golden pickaxes break Deepslate Nickel Ore without any drop.

What does Deepslate Nickel Ore drop?

Deepslate Nickel Ore drops 1 Raw Nickel; Fortune multiplies the drop, and Silk Touch returns the ore block itself. Smelting Deepslate Nickel Ore or Raw Nickel in a furnace or blast furnace gives 1 Nickel Ingot and 0.7 XP.

How do I double my nickel yield?

The Macerator grinds 1 Deepslate Nickel Ore block or 1 Raw Nickel into 2 Nickel Dust for 300 EU, and the Electric Furnace smelts each dust for 200 EU. That route yields 2 Nickel Ingots per block, twice the direct smelt.

Can Nickel Dust be smelted in a vanilla furnace?

No. Nickel Dust has no vanilla furnace or blast furnace recipe in Ala Industrial — only the Electric Furnace smelts the dust, at 200 EU per ingot.

Is nickel renewable in Ala Industrial?

Yes. The Incubator duplicates 1 Nickel Ingot into 2 with a 45% success chance per attempt at 4000 EU; each Uranium Ingot powers 3 attempts and leaves Depleted Uranium behind.
