Biomass is the solid half of fermentation in Ala Industrial: a dense organic lump that the Fermenter drops on a lucky roll, alongside a guaranteed batch of Biofuel. The chance lives in the recipe and scales with feedstock tier — 6% for four units of garden litter such as seeds, grass or kelp, 20% for two units of common harvest like wheat, carrots or raw meat, and 50% for one unit of rich food such as a golden carrot, honey or a hay bale. Every batch costs the same 600 EU (2 EU per tick over 300 ticks, or 15 seconds) plus 100 mB of water, so Biomass lands cheapest on rich feedstock at roughly 1,200 EU per lump and dearest on litter at about 10,000 EU.

Biomass has no use yet, and the mod states that honestly: no recipe in Ala Industrial consumes Biomass, and the lump does not burn as furnace fuel. The item is a registered placeholder for a future machine of the organic branch, which today runs past Biomass entirely — the working line is the Fermenter brewing Biofuel. Stack up to 64 lumps if you enjoy collecting, but do not build farms around Biomass; feed the Fermenter for the fluid, not the lump. Biomass arrives with Minecraft 26.2 Java Edition through the Ala Industrial mod, which runs on both Fabric and NeoForge.
