Warped Planks
Warped Planks carry a striking cyan-teal tone from the Nether warped forest — fire-resistant and visually unlike anything else.
Description
Like all Nether wood, the material is fully fire-resistant: lava and fire do not ignite it, and furnaces reject it as fuel. That makes it ideal for floors, ceilings, and bridges over open lava, where Overworld wood would burn out in seconds. The full crafting roster — doors, fences, fence gates, slabs, stairs, signs, hanging signs, pressure plates, trapdoors, and boats — is available, letting builders construct entire warped-themed structures with a consistent alien-ocean aesthetic. Pair the planks with shroomlight for warm accent lighting and the result reads as something truly extraplanar.

How to get and use Warped Planks in Minecraft
-
1
Find a warped forest biome in the Nether
Enter the Nether and look for the warped forest biome — identifiable by its cyan-teal foliage and tall Warped Stems. Warped forests are calmer than other Nether biomes: only Endermen spawn there naturally.
-
2
Harvest Warped Stems
Chop the large cyan tree trunks to collect Warped Stems. Any axe works; no silk touch required. Each Warped Stem drops itself when mined.
-
3
Craft Warped Planks from Warped Stems
Place 1 Warped Stem in any single crafting slot — in your 2×2 inventory grid or a crafting table — to receive 4 Warped Planks. No additional materials needed.
-
4
Build with fire-resistant Warped Planks
Use Warped Planks anywhere you would use normal wood planks: floors, walls, ceilings, furniture frames. Warped Planks will not catch fire from lava or flames, making them safe for Nether and fireplace builds.

Craft wood products from Warped Planks
Warped Planks can be used to craft Warped doors, trapdoors, fences, fence gates, slabs, stairs, pressure plates, signs, buttons, and boats. All recipes follow standard wood plank patterns.
Furnaces, smokers, and blast furnaces reject all Nether wood including Warped Planks. Use other fuels such as coal, charcoal, or regular wood planks instead.

Frequently asked questions
How do you craft Warped Planks?
Place 1 Warped Stem in any single slot of a crafting grid — your 2×2 inventory grid or a crafting table. This produces 4 Warped Planks with no additional materials.
Where do you find Warped Stems to make Warped Planks?
Warped Stems grow as tree trunks in the warped forest biome in the Nether. The warped forest is identifiable by its cyan-teal coloring and hosts only Endermen as natural mob spawns.
Are Warped Planks fire-resistant?
Yes. Warped Planks are made from Nether wood, which cannot be ignited by fire or lava. This makes Warped Planks safe to use around lava pools and flames.
Can Warped Planks be used as furnace fuel?
No. Furnaces, smokers, and blast furnaces reject all Nether-origin wood, including Warped Planks. Use coal, charcoal, or regular wood planks as fuel instead.
What is the difference between Warped Planks and Crimson Planks?
Both are Nether wood types with identical properties: fire-resistant and unusable as fuel. The difference is color — Warped Planks are cyan-teal, while Crimson Planks are deep red.
