Description

Statistics Chip is an upgrade item from the Ala Industrial mod for Minecraft 26.2 Java Edition: fitted into the right-hand slot of a machine's upgrade panel, it makes that machine keep a record of its own work. While the chip is installed, the machine counts its real working time in ticks, the energy received, sent back, generated and spent, the completed processing operations, the current and the peak EU per tick, and the adjacent faces wired to sources and consumers. Without the Statistics Chip a machine measures nothing: the counters do not run and nothing is saved to the world. Counting starts the moment the chip goes in — a machine that ran for a whole week still starts from zero. Pull the Statistics Chip out and the totals stay frozen; put it back and counting resumes from the same place. The panel opens from a tab to the left of the machine's interface, can be dragged anywhere and refreshes every 40 ticks (2 seconds) while its window is open. The record itself is free: Statistics Chip uses no energy and costs the machine 0 EU per tick.

Statistics Chip is crafted on a crafting table: one Copper Coil in the top row, an Empty Chip in the centre, one glass pane on each side of it and one redstone at the bottom yield a single chip. The Copper Coil is the same sensing element the Network Analyzer carries, so the chip is that hand-held tool's built-in little brother: the analyzer questions a whole power grid, the chip lives inside one machine. In a normal inventory Statistics Chip stacks to 64, and in an upgrade panel it takes exactly one slot; hoppers and other automation cannot see upgrade slots, so the chip is always fitted by hand. The upgrade has no tier of its own and serves LV, MV and HV machines equally. Ala Industrial exists only for Java Edition and runs the same on Fabric and NeoForge.

Java Edition Guide

How to use the Statistics Chip in Ala Industrial

  1. 1

    Craft the chip

Place one Copper Coil in the top row of a crafting table, an Empty Chip in the centre, one glass pane to the left and right of it, and one redstone in the bottom row; the recipe yields one Statistics Chip.

  2. 2

    Open the machine's upgrade panel

Open the interface of an Ala Industrial machine, for example an Electric Furnace, and find the upgrade panel — the Statistics Chip belongs in the right-hand slot.

  3. 3

Fit the chip and open the statistics tab

Move the Statistics Chip into the right-hand slot and open the statistics tab on the left of the machine's interface; drag the panel to a comfortable spot and its position is remembered.

  4. 4

    Read the numbers

Compare working time with received and spent energy, watch processed items, the current and peak EU per tick and the count of connected neighbours; the values refresh every 40 ticks (2 seconds) while the window is open.

Spotting a starved machine

If a machine's working time crawls while received energy sits far below spent energy, the machine is starved of power rather than broken — add cables or generation first. On blocks without a counted cycle, energy storage among them, the panel still opens but the counters stay at zero.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Statistics Chip do in Ala Industrial?

Statistics Chip makes one machine keep a record of its own work: working time, energy received and spent, processed items, current and peak EU per tick, and connected neighbours. Without the chip the machine measures nothing.

Does the Statistics Chip use energy?

No. Statistics Chip has no energy of its own, and the record-keeping costs the machine 0 EU per tick.

How is the Statistics Chip crafted?

On a crafting table: one Copper Coil in the top row, an Empty Chip in the centre with a glass pane on each side, and one redstone in the bottom row. The recipe yields one chip.

What happens to the statistics when the chip is removed?

The totals already counted are kept and stop growing. When the Statistics Chip goes back into the slot, counting resumes from the same place — the chip never back-fills the time before it was fitted.

Does the Statistics Chip work on every machine?

The counters are wired to processing machines and generators, so they run there. On some other blocks, energy storage among them, the panel opens but the numbers stay at zero.

Can a hopper insert the Statistics Chip automatically?

No. Hoppers and other automation cannot see upgrade slots, so the Statistics Chip is always placed by hand.
