Overclocker Chip I
Overclocker Chip I is the first-tier Ala Industrial upgrade chip: machine operations run 25 % faster for 60 % more energy each.
Description
Overclocker Chip I is crafted on a 3×3 grid from an empty chip in the centre, an energy clot I above it, gold ingots on both sides and redstone dust underneath. The clot is the real gate: energy clots come only from the Energy Condenser out of grid surplus, so the chip is paid for by the power plant rather than by ore. Tier I pulls 4 EU/t on a standard 2 EU/t machine, which starter copper cable (12 EU/t) carries without trouble. The upgrade works in processing machines such as the macerator, electric furnace and extractor, but not in generators or the condenser, and it never changes recipes, drop chances or the distillation column's warm-up. In a normal inventory Overclocker Chip I stacks to 64 and occupies a single dedicated slot in the panel.

How to use Overclocker Chip I in Minecraft
-
1
Craft the chip
Place an empty chip in the centre of a 3×3 crafting grid, an energy clot I directly above it, gold ingots to the left and right, and redstone dust underneath.
-
2
Open the upgrade panel
Right-click any Ala Industrial processing machine — a macerator, electric furnace or extractor — and switch to the gear tab of its interface.
-
3
Seat the chip in the top slot
Put Overclocker Chip I in the panel's upper arm marked with a double-arrow hint. Only one overclocker of any tier works per machine.
-
4
Verify the new figures
Hover the gear tab: the tooltip shows the installed tier and how far speed and EU per tick have moved.
-
5
Check the wiring
Tier I pulls 4 EU/t on a standard 2 EU/t machine, which copper cable (12 EU/t) carries easily. Generators and the Energy Condenser take no overclocker.
A tier above the machine's voltage limit still sits in the slot but only works up to the limit — LV machines cannot draw more than 32 EU per tick.

Frequently asked questions
How fast is Overclocker Chip I?
It shortens every operation to 80 % of its usual time — a 1.25× speed-up — while doubling the machine's draw to 4 EU/t on a standard 2 EU/t machine.
How do you craft Overclocker Chip I?
Place an empty chip in the centre of a 3×3 grid, an energy clot I directly above it, gold ingots to the left and right, and redstone dust underneath.
Does Overclocker Chip I increase energy use?
Yes. Each operation costs 60 % more EU than without the chip — a macerator's ore grind rises from 300 EU to 480 EU.
Can you stack several overclockers in one machine?
No. Tiers I, II and III are three separate items, and exactly one overclocker of any tier works in a machine at a time.
Where does the energy clot for the recipe come from?
Energy clots are produced only by the Energy Condenser from surplus grid power, so the chip is paid for with generated electricity rather than mined ore.
Does the chip work in generators?
No. Overclocking applies to processing machines only; generators and the Energy Condenser have no overclocker slot.
