Mute Chip
The Mute Chip is an Ala Industrial upgrade that makes any machine fully silent when placed in its upgrade slot, without changing speed or EU use.
Description
Craft the Mute Chip at a workbench: place 1 empty chip in the centre of the 3×3 grid and surround it with 8 pieces of any wool. The chip fits into any Ala Industrial machine or generator that has an upgrade panel (the Energy Condenser is one of the few blocks without one). In machines that make no sound to begin with, the chip simply sits in the slot with no effect. Hoppers and other automation cannot see the upgrade slot, so the chip must be placed by hand. The Mute Chip works identically on Fabric and NeoForge for Minecraft 26.2, and viewers like JEI, REI, and EMI list it as a regular item.

Craft the chip
Place 1 empty chip in the centre of a 3×3 workbench grid and surround it with 8 pieces of any wool.

Open the upgrade panel
Right-click an Ala Industrial machine or generator to open its interface with the upgrade panel.

Place the chip in the active slot
Put the Mute Chip into the first, active upgrade slot. The machine goes fully silent: no working hum, no block sounds.

Check what stays the same
Speed, EU consumption, and output are unchanged — only the sound disappears.

Remove the chip to unmute
Take the chip back out of the slot and the machine's sounds return immediately.
The chip works in any machine or generator with an upgrade panel; the Energy Condenser has no upgrade slot. Hoppers cannot insert or extract upgrade chips.
