Netherite Helmet provides 3 armor points like its diamond counterpart but adds +3 armor toughness and 10% knockback resistance per piece, cutting the damage and shove from strong hits. The netherite ingot behind Netherite Helmet is smelted from Ancient Debris mined below Y level 16 in the Nether, turned into netherite scrap, then combined with gold ingots.

Netherite Helmet keeps every enchantment from the Diamond Helmet it was forged from, so Protection IV, Respiration, and Aqua Affinity carry over for free. As a netherite item, Netherite Helmet floats in lava and does not burn when dropped on the ground, making it far harder to lose during Nether mining trips. Pair Netherite Helmet with a full netherite set for the maximum 80% damage reduction at 20 armor points, and enchant it with Mending to repair the helmet through experience instead of expensive ingots.
