Mangrove Planks
Mangrove Planks have a rich red-brown tone, harvested from the only trees that grow directly in water.

Description
Mangrove Planks arrived with the Wild Update (1.19) and brought a deep red-brown tone unlike anything in the existing wood roster. The source trees grow only in mangrove swamp biomes, perched above murky water on tangled root systems that descend into the mud below. Unlike every other species, mangrove does not drop saplings: instead, mature trees produce propagules — long pod-like seeds that hang from the leaves and can be planted directly on dirt or in shallow water.
The wood compresses to four planks per log on the crafting grid and supports the standard family of doors, fences, slabs, stairs, signs, boats, hanging signs, ladders, and chests. Builders use Mangrove Planks for swamp huts, wharf decking, anything that should evoke salt and humidity. The roots of the source tree also form a separate decorative block, and propagules planted underwater grow into trees that emerge from the surface — the only way to legitimately have wood with its trunk submerged.
