Insulated Helmet
Insulated Helmet is the shock-protection headpiece of Ala Industrial: one worn piece cuts 25 % of a live bare cable's shock, the full set blocks all of it.
Description
The Insulated Helmet is not battle armour: defense stays at the leather line (1 armor point), because the set is workwear for live wiring. Durability is the price — contact with a live wire shocks once per second, and each worn piece spends 1 point per LV shock, 2 per MV and 3 per HV, so the 275 durability of the Insulated Helmet covers about 4.5 minutes of unbroken copper-line contact. A broken piece stops protecting, and an anvil with leather restores the Insulated Helmet. Ordinary armor already softens the shock, and the set's share stacks on top. Once rubber arrives, an insulated cable removes the hazard for good, and the late-game shielding set insulates as a bonus. Ala Industrial runs on Fabric and NeoForge, Java Edition only.

How to use the Insulated Helmet in Ala Industrial
-
1
Craft the helmet
Combine one Leather Cap and one Slimeball anywhere on a crafting grid: the recipe is shapeless, needs no machines and yields one Insulated Helmet.
-
2
Equip the helmet
Place the Insulated Helmet in the head armor slot. A single worn piece already cuts 25 % of the electric shock of a live bare cable.
-
3
Complete the four-piece set
Craft the Insulated Chestplate, Insulated Leggings and Insulated Boots the same way — each is a leather armor piece plus a Slimeball. Four worn pieces block the shock entirely.
-
4
Watch the durability
A live wire shocks once per second, and every worn piece spends 1 point per LV shock, 2 per MV and 3 per HV. At 275 durability the Insulated Helmet lasts about 4.5 minutes of unbroken copper contact; repair it with leather on an anvil.
-
5
Retire the set when rubber arrives
Replace the live bare line with insulated cable, which removes the hazard for good. The set protects the player, not the wiring, so the Insulated Helmet can come off after the rebuild.
The Insulated Helmet covers only a cable's electric shock: against mobs, falls and explosions it is a leather helmet worth 1 armor point, and it does nothing against radiation — that is the late-game shielding set's job. Ordinary armor already reduces the shock, and the insulated set's share adds on top.

Frequently asked questions
Why is the Insulated Helmet made of slime and not rubber?
Rubber serves cables better in Ala Industrial: three rubber craft six insulated cables and remove the hazard permanently. A Slimeball cannot become cable insulation at all, so the leather-and-slime set fills the gap until the first rubber.
Does the Insulated Helmet alone protect completely?
No. Each worn piece cuts 25 % of the shock, so the helmet alone removes a quarter. Only the full four-piece set blocks 100 % of the damage.
How long does the Insulated Helmet last?
Durability is 275 points, a live wire shocks once per second, and every worn piece spends 1 point per LV shock, 2 per MV and 3 per HV. That is roughly 4.5 minutes of continuous copper contact; repairs cost leather on an anvil.
Does the Insulated Helmet protect from radiation?
No. The slime coating stops an electric current and does nothing to radiation — for that Ala Industrial has the shielding set, which insulates from shocks as a bonus.
Is the Insulated Helmet good battle armor?
No. Defense stays at the leather line — 1 armor point and enchantability 15, same as leather — so against mobs and falls the Insulated Helmet works like leather. Its value is the 25 % shock cut, not armor points.
Does the Insulated Helmet exist on Bedrock?
No. Ala Industrial is a Java Edition mod for Minecraft 26.2 that runs on both Fabric and NeoForge.
