Description

The Uu Matter Cell is an IndustrialCraft 2 item that stores UU-Matter, the mod's "universal matter" used to fabricate otherwise non-renewable resources in Minecraft. UU-Matter is produced in a Mass Fabricator (Matter Fabricator in IC2 Experimental), a machine that converts enormous amounts of EU energy into matter; one unit costs roughly 1,000,000 EU on its own. Feeding Scrap or Scrap Boxes into the fabricator slashes that energy cost dramatically and makes bulk production practical. In IC2 Classic, filled Uu Matter Cells are arranged in crafting-grid patterns to synthesize rare resources; in current IC2 Experimental, UU-Matter is a liquid that fuels the Replicator, and iridium is found as shards by exploration rather than crafted from cells. Because IndustrialCraft 2 is a Forge mod, the Uu Matter Cell exists only in Java Edition, never in vanilla Minecraft or Bedrock.

How to make and use a Uu Matter Cell in IndustrialCraft 2

    Build a Mass Fabricator

    Craft a Mass Fabricator (Matter Fabricator in IC2 Experimental) and connect it to a strong EU source such as solar panels, generators or a nuclear reactor.

    Feed scrap to cut the cost

    Insert Scrap or Scrap Boxes into the fabricator; they reduce the EU needed per unit of UU-Matter by several times and speed up production.

    Collect the Uu Matter Cell

    Let the machine convert energy into matter until a full Uu Matter Cell is produced, then pull it from the output slot.

    Fabricate resources

    In IC2 Classic, arrange Uu Matter Cells in the crafting grid following IC2 patterns to synthesize rare materials; in IC2 Experimental, feed the UU-Liquid to a Replicator loaded with a scanned pattern instead.

In IC2 Experimental UU-Matter is a fluid, and the exact EU cost and recipes differ from IC2 Classic; check your modpack's version before large builds.
