Compressed Hydrated Coal Ball — Minecraft block

Compressed Hydrated Coal Ball is a processing item from the IndustrialCraft 2 mod, part of the Classic-era fuel chain rather than the diamond chain. To make it, hydrate Coal Dust with water — 1 Coal Dust plus 1 Water Bucket, with the bucket returned, or 8 Coal Dust around 1 Water Bucket for a batch of 8 — and press the resulting Hydrated Coal Dust in a powered IC2 Compressor, which spends EU energy to squeeze it into a dense clump. Coal Dust itself comes from running coal through the IC2 Macerator, so the whole chain starts from plain coal.

Compressed Hydrated Coal Ball has no standalone use: 1 ball crafted with 1 Empty Cell produces a Hydrated Coal Cell, and running that cell through the IC2 Extractor yields a Coalfuel Cell — liquid fuel made from coal instead of oil. The official IndustrialCraft 2 wiki marks this chain as Classic content that is obsolete in current IC2 Experimental versions, so check availability in your build. The diamond chain is separate: a plain Coal Ball becomes a Compressed Coal Ball, eight of which plus Obsidian, Bricks or a Block of Iron form a Coal Chunk that yields a Diamond.
