Bronze Shaft
Bronze Shaft is the spinning core of the Bronze Rotor in Industrial Craft 2, fitting inside Kinetic Wind and Water Generators to produce kinetic energy (kU).

Guide
How to use Bronze Shaft in Industrial Craft 2
-
1
Smelt bronze from copper and tin
Mix three Copper Dust with one Tin Dust on a crafting grid to produce two Bronze Dust, then smelt the Bronze Dust in a furnace to obtain Bronze Ingots for the Bronze Shaft.
-
2
Combine Bronze Shaft with Rotor Blades
Place one Bronze Shaft at the centre of a crafting grid surrounded by four Bronze Rotor Blades to assemble one Bronze Rotor, the kinetic part for IC2 wind and water generators.
-
3
Install the Bronze Rotor in a generator
Open the Kinetic Wind Generator or Kinetic Water Generator interface and insert the Bronze Rotor into the rotor slot so the machine can spin and produce kinetic energy.
-
4
Generate kinetic energy (kU)
Expose the Kinetic Wind Generator to strong wind at height, or submerge the Kinetic Water Generator in flowing water, and the Bronze Rotor converts that flow into Kinetic Energy Units for downstream machines.
-
5
Pair the rotor with a kinetic motor
Connect the generator output to an IC2 Kinetic Generator so the kinetic energy from the Bronze Rotor is converted into EU that charges machines, batboxes, and storage.
Bronze Shaft is an inventory item, not a placeable block. The Bronze Shaft recipe varies between IC2 builds and config packs, so confirm the exact inputs in NEI or JEI inside your own modpack before crafting.

Frequently asked questions
What does Bronze Shaft do in Industrial Craft 2?
Bronze Shaft is the central spinning axle of a Bronze Rotor, the kinetic part installed in a Kinetic Wind Generator or Kinetic Water Generator to convert wind or water flow into Kinetic Energy Units (kU).
What is Bronze Shaft used to craft?
Bronze Shaft is consumed in the Bronze Rotor recipe, which combines one Bronze Shaft with four Bronze Rotor Blades on a crafting grid. The resulting Bronze Rotor then drives IC2 kinetic generators.
Is Bronze renewable in Industrial Craft 2?
Yes, bronze is renewable in late-game IC2 because copper and tin can both be mass-produced from UU-Matter, making Bronze Shaft a renewable resource for a fully matured base.
Is Industrial Craft 2 available on Bedrock Edition?
No, Industrial Craft 2 is a Java Edition mod only. There is no official Bedrock Edition of IC2, so Bronze Shaft exists exclusively on Java.
Which generator accepts the Bronze Rotor?
The Bronze Rotor fits into the Kinetic Wind Generator and the Kinetic Water Generator from Industrial Craft 2, where the rotor spins to produce kinetic energy sent to downstream machines.
How do I craft a Bronze Shaft?
The Bronze Shaft recipe is not fixed across IC2 builds and config packs, so the inputs vary. Open NEI or JEI inside your own modpack to confirm the exact ingredients before crafting.
