Description

Gold Dust is the macerated intermediate that Ala Industrial produces by running gold ore, raw gold, or a gold ingot through the Macerator. One block of gold ore or one raw gold yields two dust at a cost of 300 EU per recipe, while a finished gold ingot only gives back one dust, so the ore route is the one that genuinely doubles the supply. Each Gold Dust then smelts cleanly into a gold ingot in a vanilla furnace, a blast furnace, or the mod's Electric Furnace, which closes the doubling loop of one ore into two ingots instead of the usual one.

Because Ala Industrial registers its dust under the shared c:dusts/gold tag, Gold Dust works the same on Fabric and NeoForge and interchanges with dust from other tech mods that publish the same tag. Beyond the refund loop, Gold Dust is also a sellable surplus item: the Industrialist villager at tier 3 buys four Gold Dust for one emerald, up to twelve trades. Gold itself is renewable in Minecraft through bartering and zombified piglin drops, so the ore-doubling pipeline never runs out of feedstock in the long run.

How to get and use Gold Dust in Ala Industrial

  1. 1

Feed gold ore into the Macerator

Place gold ore, deepslate gold ore, or raw gold into the Macerator. Each input costs 300 EU and produces two Gold Dust, which is the core ore-doubling trick of the machine.

  2. 2

Smelt each Gold Dust into an ingot

Cook every Gold Dust in a vanilla furnace, a blast furnace, or the Electric Furnace. One dust yields one gold ingot, so the two dust from one ore become two ingots.

  3. 3

    Avoid the ingot-to-dust loop

Macerating a finished gold ingot only returns one Gold Dust for the same 300 EU, so grinding and re-smelting an ingot nets zero. Always grind ore or raw gold, never finished ingots you already need.

  4. 4

Trade surplus dust to the Industrialist

If you have extra Gold Dust, the Industrialist villager at tier 3 buys four dust for one emerald, up to twelve trades, turning the surplus into a reliable emerald source.

Cross-mod compatibility

Ala Industrial registers Gold Dust under the shared c:dusts/gold tag, so dust from other tech mods that use the same tag works in these recipes, and Ala Industrial Gold Dust is accepted by machines from those mods on both Fabric and NeoForge.

Frequently asked questions

How do you get Gold Dust in Ala Industrial?

Run gold ore, deepslate gold ore, raw gold, or a gold ingot through the Macerator. Ore and raw gold yield two Gold Dust for 300 EU each recipe, while an ingot only yields one dust.

Does Gold Dust double your gold?

Yes. One gold ore or one raw gold produces two Gold Dust in the Macerator, and each dust smelts into a gold ingot, so one ore becomes two ingots instead of the usual one.

Can you craft a gold ingot from Gold Dust?

You smelt it rather than craft it on a table. Cook Gold Dust in a furnace, blast furnace, or the Electric Furnace and one dust turns into one gold ingot. The Compressor can also press dust into an ingot for 260 EU.

Is grinding a gold ingot into dust a duplication glitch?

No. A finished gold ingot only macerates back into one Gold Dust for the same 300 EU, so ingot-to-dust-to-ingot is a net zero that only wastes energy. The doubling works only on ore and raw gold.

What is Gold Dust used for besides making ingots?

Gold Dust is a sellable surplus: the Industrialist villager at tier 3 buys four dust for one emerald, up to twelve trades, and the shared c:dusts/gold tag means other tech mods can also consume it.

Is Gold Dust renewable?

Yes. Gold itself is renewable in Minecraft through piglin bartering and zombified piglin drops, and Ala Industrial turns that renewable gold ore into Gold Dust through the Macerator.
