Galvanic Bath
Galvanic Bath is an LV electroplating machine that plates silver dust onto fibre inside water, producing the flux thread behind Fluxweave armour.
Description
Fibre means vanilla string from a spider farm or cotton fibre from a trellis — one recipe accepts both, so the choice is playstyle, not progression. Galvanic Bath draws power on every face except the front, accepts up to 32 EU/tick (the LV ceiling) and buffers 800 EU; the idle reason appears as a tooltip on the progress arrow: needs fibre, needs silver dust, needs water, or output blocked. The tank is one-way — water goes in but can never be pumped back out — so automate it with a pump instead of hauling buckets. Craft the machine from one machine casing, two copper coils, two electronic circuits and four silver plates, then feed it from a cotton trellis or a spider farm. It runs identically on Fabric and NeoForge.

How to use a Galvanic Bath in Minecraft
-
1
Craft the Galvanic Bath
Place four silver plates in the corners of the crafting grid, one machine casing in the centre, two copper coils above and below it, and two electronic circuits to its left and right.
-
2
Fill the tank with water
Pour water in with any fluid container: one operation consumes 4000 mB — four buckets — and the full 10,000 mB tank covers two operations back to back.
-
3
Load fibre and silver dust
Put one vanilla string or cotton fibre and one silver dust into the two input slots; a single recipe accepts both fibre sources.
-
4
Supply LV power
Connect a cable or a charged battery to any face except the front: the bath draws 2 EU/tick and accepts up to 32 EU/tick, the LV ceiling.
-
5
Collect the flux thread
After 500 ticks (25 seconds) the result slot fills with one flux thread, and the emptied water container returns through the fill-output slot.
The 4000 mB debited per operation can never be pumped back out — the tank is one-way, so pipe water in with a pump rather than carrying buckets by hand.

Frequently asked questions
What does the Galvanic Bath do in Ala Industrial?
It electroplates fibre with silver: one vanilla string or cotton fibre, one silver dust and 4000 mB of water become one flux thread — the material every Fluxweave armour piece is made from.
How much energy does one flux thread cost?
1000 EU. The bath runs at 2 EU/tick for 500 ticks (25 seconds), buffers up to 800 EU and accepts at most 32 EU/tick on every face except the front.
How do you craft the Galvanic Bath?
Four silver plates in the corners of the grid, one machine casing in the centre, two copper coils above and below the casing, and two electronic circuits to its left and right.
Can the tank water be pumped back out?
No. The 10,000 mB tank is one-way: water enters as feedstock and can never be extracted, so even a neighbouring pump cannot siphon it.
Can plain string replace cotton fibre?
Yes. Vanilla string and cotton fibre share one recipe, so a spider farm works exactly as well as a cotton trellis — it is a playstyle choice, not a progression gate.
Why does the machine say it needs water?
Water is checked separately from the recipe: when the tank holds less than 4000 mB, the idle tooltip on the progress arrow reports the missing water even though fibre and silver dust are already loaded.
