Flux Thread is the plated intermediate of the armor chain in Ala Industrial: a strand of fiber coated with silver inside the Galvanic Bath. The recipe pairs one fiber — vanilla String or Cotton Fiber, both work — with one Silver Dust, and the bath finishes the coating in 25 seconds (500 ticks) at 2 EU/t, drawing 1000 EU from its buffer. That is the longest operation in the mod's machine line, and it costs two and a half times the 400 EU the Polymerizer spends — a deliberate price at the gateway to the mod's first EU armor. The Galvanic Bath is also the only machine in Ala Industrial that needs water: each thread consumes 4000 mB (four buckets), so a full ten-bucket tank is spent after just two operations.

Flux Thread has exactly one consumer: four threads in a 2×2 square on a crafting table become one Fluxweave Cloth, and cloth is what all four armor pieces are sewn from — a full set works out to 10 cloth, or 40 threads, close to seventeen minutes of uninterrupted bath time. The thread itself stores no EU; charge appears only in the finished armor, where the battery ingredient hands its stored energy over to the completed piece. There is no way back down the chain, because cloth cannot be unravelled into threads. Silver Dust is ground from raw silver or Silver Ore in the Macerator at 300 EU for two dust, and since ore is finite, Flux Thread is not renewable however renewable the fiber half of the recipe is.
