Description

Cupronickel Plate is the pressed plate form of the copper-nickel alloy in the Ala Industrial mod for Minecraft 26.2, and one Cupronickel Ingot always yields exactly one plate. The hand route needs no machines: put a Forge Hammer and a cupronickel ingot together on a crafting table and the plate drops out — the hammer is not consumed and loses just 1 of its 128 durability per plate. The machine route is the Compressor, an LV machine (low voltage, up to 32 EU/t input): one press takes 130 ticks (about 6.5 seconds) and 260 EU. The ingot itself comes only from the Alloy Smelter, where one copper ingot plus one nickel ingot make one cupronickel ingot for 1200 EU, so every plate carries the alloy's full smelting price.

Two Cupronickel Plates make one Reinforced Cupronickel Plate — hammered on the crafting table or pressed in the Compressor, which runs the pair as a single 260 EU batch and will not start until both plates sit in the input slot. The reinforced plate is the gateway to Ala Industrial's advanced logistics: the Advanced Item Pipe and the Advanced Fluid Tank are built from it. There is no way back, because cupronickel has no dust form in the mod — there is nothing to grind the plate back into. Ala Industrial runs on Minecraft 26.2 Java Edition only, on both the Fabric and NeoForge loaders, and the finished plate is tagged c:plates/cupronickel so other mods' recipes can accept it.

How to make a Cupronickel Plate in Ala Industrial

  1. 1

    Smelt the alloy first

Load one copper ingot and one nickel ingot into an Alloy Smelter. One operation costs 1200 EU, lasts 150 ticks (about 7.5 seconds), and yields one Cupronickel Ingot — the alloy's only source.

  2. 2

    Hammer the ingot by hand

Place a Forge Hammer and the cupronickel ingot together on a crafting table. One plate drops out; the hammer stays in the grid and loses 1 of its 128 durability.

  3. 3

Or press it in the Compressor

Feed the ingot to a Compressor connected to LV power. One press takes 130 ticks (about 6.5 seconds) and 260 EU, with no hammer wear at all.

  4. 4

    Upgrade to the reinforced plate

Combine two Cupronickel Plates with the Forge Hammer on the crafting table, or press the pair in the Compressor for 260 EU, to get one Reinforced Cupronickel Plate.

No way back

Cupronickel has no dust form in Ala Industrial, so a pressed plate cannot be ground back into an ingot — press only as many plates as your recipe actually needs.

Frequently asked questions

How many plates does one Forge Hammer last for?

About 128. The Forge Hammer loses exactly 1 of its 128 durability per plate and stays in the crafting grid, breaking only after the last plate.

How much energy does the Compressor need per plate?

One press costs 260 EU and takes 130 ticks (about 6.5 seconds). The Compressor is an LV machine drawing 2 EU/t while working.

What is the Cupronickel Plate used for?

Two plates make one Reinforced Cupronickel Plate, and the reinforced plate goes into the Advanced Item Pipe and the Advanced Fluid Tank — the top of the mod's logistics chain.

Can a Cupronickel Plate be recycled?

No. The mod has no cupronickel dust, so there is nothing to mill the plate back into — pressing is strictly a one-way operation.

Is the Cupronickel Plate renewable?

No. Copper has no renewable source, each plate inherits the alloy's 1200 EU smelting cost, and the hand route also wears the hammer.

Does Ala Industrial exist for Bedrock?

No. Ala Industrial is a Java Edition mod for Minecraft 26.2, available on both the Fabric and NeoForge loaders.
