Greenhouse Controller
Greenhouse Controller scans a sealed room of any closed shape and grows vanilla amethyst clusters on seedbeds — the renewable crystal farm of Ala Industrial.
Description
Energy for the Greenhouse Controller is an accelerator, not a condition: the LV buffer holds 4000 EU, takes up to 32 EU/t, and 64 EU is charged only for a growth event that actually happened. Feed each Crystal Seedbed one amethyst shard per click (16 buds at most; a block of amethyst counts as four shards), wait out the vanilla bud stages and break the ripe cluster with a pickaxe for 4 shards — Fortune applies, because the vanilla loot table decides the drop. Water cuts the growth divisor by 3, EU and a Sprinkler by 2 each, so one bed ripens in about 1 h 30 min bare and in about 7 minutes with all three. Beds grow in parallel, which is why scale pays more than any accelerator.

Guide
How to build and run a Greenhouse Controller amethyst farm
-
1
Craft the controller
Place five Greenhouse Decking, one amethyst shard, two Electronic Circuits and one Machine Casing on a crafting table in the KAK/CMC/KKK pattern to get one Greenhouse Controller.
-
2
Build a sealed room
Raise a closed shell of Greenhouse Decking and any glass with 27 to 4096 blocks of air inside — a dome, a stepped pyramid or an L-shaped wing all work. Set the Greenhouse Controller into a wall with its panel facing out, never into the floor or ceiling.
-
3
Plant and charge the seedbeds
Put Crystal Seedbeds inside the room and right-click each with an amethyst shard: one shard buys one bud, up to 16 per seedbed. A block of amethyst counts as four shards but is refused when fewer than four slots are free.
-
4
Check the room status
Right-click the Greenhouse Controller: chat reports the volume, the seedbed count and whether water is present. A formed shell loses its seams and reads as one surface, and breaking a wall brings the seams back instantly.
-
5
Harvest and feed back
Wait for the buds to pass the small, medium and large stages, break each ripe cluster with a pickaxe for 4 amethyst shards, and feed part of them back into the Crystal Seedbeds.
The Greenhouse Controller grows crystals without a single cable: water cuts growth time to a third, LV power to a half and a Sprinkler with nutrient solution to a half again, and all three multiply. EU is charged 64 per growth event only, so a dark and dry greenhouse still works.

Frequently asked questions
Can I charge a seedbed outside the greenhouse?
Yes, but nothing will grow. The counter climbs exactly the same, and when no formed greenhouse watches the block, a warning comes instead of the counter — growth starts only inside a formed room.
What happens to a seedbed when broken?
The Crystal Seedbed always comes back dead: the charge is spent time, so a working bed must not go into your pocket. Plan the room before placing seedbeds, and do not carry charged ones around.
Which glass and door does the greenhouse accept?
Any glass works — vanilla, stained or from another mod through the #c:glass_blocks tag — and any vanilla door is accepted. The Greenhouse Door simply closes itself 5 seconds after you pass through.
Why do crystals ripen out of sync?
Every Crystal Seedbed rolls its own die each 100 ticks (5 seconds) instead of one shared roll, and one crystal costs four growth events. That is why a hall of beds yields a steady flow rather than one harvest wave.
Why will the room not form?
Right-click the Greenhouse Controller and read the chat line. A room that has never formed reports only that it is not closed, because the flood fill cannot say where it leaks; after one successful forming, the message also carries the coordinates of the missing block.
