Core Barrel is a crafting component of the Ala Industrial mod for Minecraft 26.2 Java Edition — the hollow tube a drill core passes through. Core Barrel does nothing on its own: no EU is stored, no durability exists, the stack reaches 64, and the whole purpose is to serve as an ingredient. The recipe sits on a vanilla crafting table and its shape draws the tube itself — three Reinforced Invar Plates across the top row, three across the bottom, a Choke on each side of the middle row and the center left empty, so six plates and two chokes yield one Core Barrel. The parts were chosen deliberately: the Reinforced Invar Plate had almost no other consumer recipe, and the Choke served only inside its own production line.

Two Core Barrels form the backbone of the Column Bore Module, together with one Irradiated Diamond, two Reinforced Chokes, one Advanced Circuit, two more Reinforced Invar Plates and one Reinforced Bearing. The Upgrade Table, an LV machine, consumes the module and writes the upgrade onto any electric drill — base, diamond-tipped or netherite-tipped tier alike. After installation the drill breaks the block above and the block below the one aimed at, carving a walkable corridor in a single pass. The aimed block costs the usual 50 EU and each extra block 75 EU, so a full column costs 200 EU; a drill that cannot afford all three blocks digs only the one it aimed at. Silk Touch (the enchantment that drops blocks whole) and Fortune apply to every block of the column, only pickaxe-mineable blocks ever join it, and the L key switches the mode off and back on. Ala Industrial runs on Java Edition only and supports both the Fabric and NeoForge loaders.
