How to craft Copper Nugget in Minecraft
-
1
Get a Copper Ingot
Smelt raw copper in a furnace or blast furnace, or trade for a Copper Ingot, so you have at least one in your inventory.
-
2
Open any crafting grid
Use your 2×2 inventory grid or a Crafting Table — both work for the ingot-to-nugget recipe in Minecraft 26.1.2.
-
3
Place 1 Copper Ingot
Put a single Copper Ingot in any cell of the grid. The result slot will show 9 Copper Nuggets ready to take.
-
4
Take 9 Copper Nuggets
Pick up the output. You now hold nine fine-grained nuggets that stack up to 64 per inventory slot.
-
5
Reverse when needed
Fill a 3×3 Crafting Table with 9 Copper Nuggets to forge 1 Copper Ingot back, with no loss in either direction.
Because the conversion is lossless both ways, Copper Nugget is an excellent fine unit for hopper-based sorting and shop pricing built around copper.
