Description

Copper Torch is a vanilla light-source block added in Minecraft 26.1.2 ("Tiny Takeover"). It emits the same light level 14 as a standard Torch, but its sconce is forged from a copper nugget instead of coal, giving it a distinctive copper-colored handle that fits perfectly into industrial, steampunk, and rustic builds. Players craft it by stacking 1 Copper Nugget on top of 1 Stick in any crafting grid, producing 1 Copper Torch per craft. The block can be placed on top of any solid surface or attached to a block side like a regular Torch, and it is instantly broken with bare hands, dropping itself. Flowing water extinguishes it on contact, so route channels and waterfalls around it. Because copper is renewable from drowned, copper ore, and copper farms, Copper Torch is an excellent alternative when coal is scarce in deserts, snowy biomes, or post-cave-mining bases. How to craft and place Copper Torch in Minecraft

    Gather materials

    Collect 1 Stick (from planks) and 1 Copper Nugget (smelt copper ingot in a stonecutter recipe or break a copper ingot down via crafting).

    Open a crafting grid

    Use your inventory 2×2 or a crafting table 3×3. Both accept the recipe.

    Place the recipe

    Put the Copper Nugget directly on top of the Stick in the same column. You will get 1 Copper Torch per craft.

    Right-click on the top of a solid block or on a block side to mount it on a wall. Light level 14 spreads immediately.

    Avoid flowing water and waterlogged areas — the torch is extinguished and removed on contact, just like a vanilla Torch.
