Description
Cherry Planks were added in the Trails & Tales update (1.20) and immediately filled a gap that had bothered builders for years: there was no naturally pink wood. The trees grow exclusively in the Cherry Grove biome, a mountainous variant where pink petals drift through the air as ambient particles. The bark is grey-and-pink striped on the outside; the planks themselves are a uniform soft salmon, almost peach.
The wood crafts at the standard rate — four planks per log — and supports the full range of doors, fences, slabs, stairs, signs, boats, hanging signs, ladders, and chests. Pair Cherry Planks with bone blocks for ivory contrast, with white concrete for clean modern looks, or with stone bricks for traditional Japanese roof tile combinations. Like every wood family, the material burns, smelts as fuel, and grows from a single sapling — though the trees only spawn in their native biome.
