Cherry Log
Cherry Log shows a unique grey-and-pink striped bark, sourced only from sakura trees added in 1.20.
Description
The cherry tree silhouette is also distinct: trunks branch out wide and low, the canopy is broad rather than tall, and pink-leaved tops give the biome its name. Cutting the trunk yields the same standard conversion as every other species — strip with an axe to reveal a smooth pink interior, smelt to charcoal in any furnace, or place on the crafting grid for four cherry planks. Combine the stripped variant with the bark side for striking decorative columns in pink-and-grey gradients.

How to get and use Cherry Log in Minecraft
-
1
Find a Cherry Grove
Travel to the Cherry Grove biome, a mountainous area with pink-leaved sakura trees and drifting blossom particles. Cherry Log generates only here.
-
2
Chop the trunk
Break the cherry tree trunk to collect Cherry Log; an axe is the fastest tool, though bare hands still drop the block.
-
3
Craft cherry planks
Place one Cherry Log anywhere in the crafting grid to get four cherry planks, the base for cherry doors, fences, stairs, slabs, and boats.
-
4
Strip for decoration
Use an axe on a placed Cherry Log to strip the bark and reveal a smooth pink interior, ideal for pillars and timber-frame builds.
Combine four Cherry Logs in a 2x2 grid to craft Cherry Wood, which shows bark on all six sides for clean corners.
