Description

Stripped Cherry Log is the bark-free version of Cherry Log, created when a player uses any axe on a placed Cherry Log in Minecraft. Added in the 1.20 Trails & Tales update for both Java and Bedrock Edition, Stripped Cherry Log reveals a smooth salmon-pink surface with faint dark streaks — the lightest and most uniform pink wood texture in the game. Cherry Logs grow only in the Cherry Grove biome on mountain slopes, so Stripped Cherry Log carries that same rare pastel palette. Like every log, Stripped Cherry Log can be placed along the X, Y, or Z axis and is broken fastest with an axe.

Stripped Cherry Log crafts into four Cherry Planks each, and four Stripped Cherry Logs in a 2x2 grid make three Stripped Cherry Wood with bark-free faces on every side. Builders use Stripped Cherry Log for soft-pink support beams, window frames, torii-style gates, and Japanese-garden scenes where the cherry-blossom color is the centerpiece. Stripped Cherry Log is flammable and works as furnace fuel, smelting 1.5 items per log, though its scarce pink tone usually makes it too valuable to burn.

How to make and use Stripped Cherry Log in Minecraft

  1. 1

    Find a Cherry Log

Travel to a Cherry Grove biome on a mountainside and chop or place a Cherry Log from the pink-leaved cherry trees.

  2. 2

    Strip it with an axe

Hold any axe and right-click (use) the Cherry Log; it instantly turns into Stripped Cherry Log with the bark removed and a smooth pink surface.

  3. 3

    Place it along an axis

Place Stripped Cherry Log facing the X, Y, or Z direction to run the grain horizontally or vertically for beams and pillars.

  4. 4

    Craft planks or wood

Put one Stripped Cherry Log in the grid for four Cherry Planks, or four logs in a 2x2 square for three Stripped Cherry Wood.

Stripping is one-way

Using an axe on a Cherry Log cannot be reversed — there is no way to add bark back, so strip only logs you want pink and smooth.
