Bucket of Tadpole is a water-filled bucket that holds a captured tadpole, added in Minecraft Java and Bedrock Edition 1.19 "The Wild Update". You obtain it by using a water bucket on a tadpole, the tiny passive mob that spawns in mangrove swamps and hatches from frogspawn. Emptying the bucket releases the tadpole together with its water, so you can relocate the mob without it suffocating. A tadpole matures into a frog after about 20 minutes, and the resulting frog variant — temperate, warm, or cold — is decided by the biome temperature where the tadpole grows up, not where it was caught. This makes Bucket of Tadpole the main tool for farming a specific frog colour: carry a tadpole to a warm biome such as a desert for an orange warm frog, or to a snowy biome for a green cold frog. Feeding the tadpole slimeballs speeds up its growth. The bucket does not stack, behaves like Bucket of Cod or Bucket of Axolotl, and leaves an empty bucket in your hand when you place the tadpole.
