How to Get Stripped Jungle Log in Minecraft
-
1
Find a Jungle Biome
Travel to a jungle, sparse jungle, or bamboo jungle biome to find jungle trees. Giant 2×2 jungle trees are the most efficient source, as Jungle Logs generate in large quantities in their trunks.
-
2
Equip Any Axe
Hold any axe in your main hand — wooden, stone, iron, gold, diamond, or netherite all work for stripping. Each stripping action costs 1 durability point from the axe.
-
3
Right-Click the Jungle Log
Right-click (or use the secondary action button on console/mobile) on any face of a Jungle Log. The Jungle Log turns into a Stripped Jungle Log in place, showing the warm reddish-brown inner wood texture.
-
4
Mine the Stripped Jungle Log
Break the Stripped Jungle Log with your axe — Stripped Jungle Log always drops itself regardless of enchantments. An axe mines Stripped Jungle Log the fastest.
-
5
Craft Stripped Jungle Wood (Optional)
Place 4 Stripped Jungle Logs in a 2×2 pattern in a crafting table or your inventory grid to craft 3 Stripped Jungle Wood blocks — the full-bark-stripped variant with the smooth texture on all six faces.
Stripped Jungle Log can be used as furnace fuel, smelting 1.5 items per log — the same fuel value as any other wood log. Stripping a log in place (without breaking it) is useful for aesthetic builds where you want the stripped texture without relocating the block.

Frequently asked questions
How do you get Stripped Jungle Log in Minecraft?
Stripped Jungle Log is obtained by right-clicking any Jungle Log with any axe (wooden, stone, iron, gold, diamond, or netherite). The Jungle Log converts into Stripped Jungle Log in place, and each stripping action costs 1 durability point from the axe. Stripped Jungle Log cannot be crafted at a crafting table.
Which axe types work for stripping Jungle Logs?
Any axe material works for stripping Jungle Logs into Stripped Jungle Logs: wooden, stone, iron, gold, diamond, and netherite axes all strip the log in one right-click. Enchantments on the axe do not affect the stripping action itself, but Unbreaking or Mending extends the axe's durability over many strips.
What is the difference between Stripped Jungle Log and Stripped Jungle Wood?
Stripped Jungle Log has the smooth reddish-brown inner wood texture on the four side faces, but retains the cross-section ring pattern on the top and bottom faces. Stripped Jungle Wood (crafted from 4 Stripped Jungle Logs in a 2×2 pattern, yielding 3 blocks) shows the smooth stripped texture on all six faces with no ring pattern visible.
When was Stripped Jungle Log added to Minecraft?
Stripped Jungle Log was added in Java Edition 1.13 (The Update Aquatic, released 2018) and in Bedrock Edition 1.4.0. The stripping mechanic was introduced simultaneously for all wood types in these versions.
Can Stripped Jungle Log be used as furnace fuel?
Yes. Stripped Jungle Log can be used as fuel in a furnace, blast furnace, or smoker. Stripped Jungle Log smelts 1.5 items per log — the same fuel value as any other wood log including Jungle Log.
Can Stripped Jungle Log catch fire or burn?
Yes. Stripped Jungle Log is flammable and can catch fire from lava, fire, or flame-enchanted tools. Stripped Jungle Log will spread fire to adjacent flammable blocks. Avoid using Stripped Jungle Log near open lava sources or fireplaces in builds without fireproofing.
