How to use a Stray Spawn Egg in Minecraft

Open the Creative inventory
Open the Creative inventory or run /give @s minecraft:stray_spawn_egg, since the Stray Spawn Egg cannot be crafted in Survival mode.

Aim at a block
Point your crosshair at a solid surface in the spot where you want the Stray to appear.

Use the spawn egg
Right-click (Java) or tap (Bedrock) with the Stray Spawn Egg to spawn one Stray on that block.

Fill mob farms
Repeat with the Stray Spawn Egg to populate a snowy arena or custom mob farm, or use it on a monster spawner to switch it to Strays.
A spawned Stray fires Arrows of Slowness that apply Slowness for 30 seconds, so equip armor before testing the Stray in a closed space.
